The first Summer Youth Olympic Games: held in Singapore from August 14 to 26, 2010.

1. There are 26 major events:

2. The mascots are a little male lion named "Leo" and a little female merlion named "Merry". Lyo is the abbreviation of "Lion of the Youth Olympics". He is a sports enthusiast and very funny. He hopes to encourage young people to exercise actively, stay healthy, and enjoy the fun that sports brings to life. Leo symbolizes the infinite vitality of young people and their determination to live a colorful, passionate and continuous pursuit of excellence. Merly's name is taken from "mer" (meaning sea) and "ly", which represents youth and vitality. As an environmentalist, Melly believes that everyone should contribute their own strength and work together to create a sustainable future. At the same time, she also advocates that young people actively participate in community activities and respect each other.

3. The theme slogan is "Blazing the trail".

The Second Summer Youth Olympic Games: will be held in Nanjing from August 16 to August 28, 2014. The schedule will last for 12 days. The competition events have been determined in principle to be 26 major events.
