History of Dalian Rail Transit

The history of Dalian rail transit in Dalian can be traced back to 193. At that time, the rulers of Russia invested in laying a tram line between Dalian Railway Station and Siergou Residential Area, which is the predecessor of No.21 Road today and the beginning of Dalian rail transit history. Later, due to the war, this line was once abandoned after Japan took over. It was not until after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War in 1945 that Dalian successively resumed Rail 2 (now No.21), Rail 4 (now No.22) and Rail 5 (merged with No.23 before No.21).

on September 25th, 199, Dalian, where the electrical operation office of the Ministry of Transport of Manchuria Railway was under Japanese rule at that time, opened the first tram test line, marking the beginning of tram and public transportation in Dalian, making Dalian one of the earliest cities in China with trams and buses. The line runs from Electric Garden (formerly Zoo, now Yujing Center) through Dazhengtong (now Zhongshan Road and Renmin Road) to Dazhanqiao (now Harbour Bridge), with a one-way distance of 2.45 kilometers. The vehicles are 3 Type 11 trams, the car body is made in Breston, USA, the chassis is made in Gibson, Montaigne, England, and the electrical part is made in Germany. Each car has a capacity of 72 people and is fully loaded with 145 people. At that time, it was commonly known as the American big wooden cage. Since then, new tram lines have been continuously opened up, and two rail lines have been built in Democracy Square and Jiefang Square. By 1945, the tram had 11 lines, three business offices and two repair shops.

In p>1945, the Soviet Red Army took over Dalian from Japan, and on April 1, 1946, it took over Dalian Metropolitan Transportation Co., Ltd. and transformed it into Dalian Transportation Company. In the 197s, due to the needs of urban development, trams were demolished on a large scale. Among them, the No.3 tram in Shahekou-Zhoushuizi section was changed to the No.3 bus at that time (now BRT1), and the No.15 bus was the line that changed the No.1 tram from electricity to steam at that time.

in June, 198, rail No.2 and rail No.5 realized combined transport, and in 1983, the name of No.21 officially appeared. In the same year, No.4 Rail Road was officially renamed No.22 Road, and the running line was Xinggong Street-Heishijiao. On April 27th, 1985, Route 21 was officially split into two lines: the route between Shahekou Railway Station and Dalian Railway Station was Route 21, and the route between Dalian Railway Station and Siergou Residential Area was named Route 23. In the summer of 1996, three routes successively announced the implementation of quasi-unmanned ticket sales.

On December 1st, 22, No.22 Road extended its terminal to today's Hekou Software Park, and then further extended to Xiaoping Island, forming today's route. On November 8, 22, Express Rail Line 3 was put into trial operation and officially put into operation one year later. In 26, the trams 21 and 23 started track reconstruction respectively. After the transformation was completed at the end of 27, the 21 and 23 lines were merged again, and the Shahekou train station was cancelled, and the starting and ending station was changed to Xinggong Street-Haizhiyun Park, which became the 21 road today.

the idea of Dalian subway was first put forward in the 198s. In 1987, Dalian put forward an urban rail transit planning scheme combining underground, ground and elevated lines, with a total length of 82.4 kilometers, which was written into Dalian Urban Master Plan (199-21). However, due to doubts about Dalian's ability to build and operate the subway, and the macro-control at that time, the Dalian subway project was not realized.

The latest attempt to build a subway in Dalian began in 25. In that year, Dalian once again proposed to build a subway. According to the Dalian Urban Master Plan and the Dalian Urban Development Plan, the first phase of Dalian Metro was proposed, which included Line 1 and Line 2 based on the Dalian Rail Transit Network Planning Scheme and the new Line 4 connecting the urban area and Lushunkou District in the near future (29-216). In July, 29, the short-term construction plan of Dalian urban rail transit (29-216) was approved.

in January, 29, Dalian subway engineering construction headquarters was formally established. In March, 29, Dalian Metro Engineering Construction Headquarters began to collect Dalian Metro logo designs for the whole country, and finally the design scheme of Wu Yuzheng, a native of Chengde, Hebei, was selected.

On the morning of July 25th, 29, the foundation stone laying ceremony of Dalian Metro was held in Harbour Square, and construction of two test sections was started. On March 5th, 21, the Dalian Municipal Government held a mobilization meeting for the start of the subway, announcing the official start of the whole line of the Dalian subway, and the final design scheme of the Dalian subway was determined. It is estimated that the total investment is 28.738 billion yuan, and the control investment per kilometer is 4 million yuan; Among them, Line 1 invested 1.16 billion yuan, and Line 2 invested 18.722 billion yuan. As of May 21, all 26 sections of Dalian Metro have started construction.

Dalian Metro was originally planned to be completed and put into trial operation before the end of 212; In fact, the first phase of Dalian Metro Line 2 was opened to traffic on May 22nd, 215.

on June 1th, 214, the environmental impact assessment of Dalian urban rail transit construction plan (214-22) was publicized for the second time. On the morning of March 1, 211, a landslide accident occurred in Dalian Jiaotong University, and a Henan construction worker fell with the collapse and disappeared. The collapsed tunnel face is 17 meters away from the ground, the ground collapse mouth is about 5 square meters, and the amount of earth and stone collapse is about 2 cubic meters. The missing person was confirmed dead the next day. At about 6: 3 pm on March 16th, 211, a landslide occurred in front of dalian polytechnic university Adult Education College, with a diameter of about 1m and a depth of 6m. There were no casualties. On March 17, 211, the subway construction site at the intersection of Shandong Road and Songjiang Road collapsed, and the collapsed part was more than one meter in diameter. At about 16 o'clock on June 9, 211, the pavement near the construction site of Shandong Road collapsed, resulting in a deep pit with a diameter of more than 5 meters, and some underground pipelines were broken. At about 5 am on August 29, 211, a landslide occurred in the northeast corner of the intersection of Honggang Road and Shenglin Road near the airport. The landslide caused the cable TV signal in the nearby area to be interrupted. At the same time, maintenance also caused serious traffic jams near the accident. Due to the complexity of geology in Dalian, there have been many collapse accidents during the construction of Dalian subway. There are also some people who criticize the frequent accidents and disturbing people in Dalian subway. Many citizens think that the Dalian subway is suspected of disturbing the people during the construction process, and accidents occur frequently. In the demonstration against the PX project in Dalian on August 14, 211, the 7-year-old woman even flashed a slogan with the words "The subway is destroyed".
