In order to strengthen the protection of giant panda food resources, the Ningxia County Government issued a notice on May 14, 2001, "About Prohibition of Harvesting of Miscellaneous Bamboo in Giant Panda Activity Areas" to stop indiscriminate cutting of bamboo. In order to protect the habitat and food source of giant pandas, we actively coordinated with the Ningdong and Ningxi Forestry Bureaus of neighboring provinces to strengthen the protection and management of giant pandas in state-owned forest areas.
