2022 Announcement from the Handan City Funeral Management Office on the Suspension of Sacrificial Activities

In view of the current epidemic prevention and control situation, in order to strengthen the management of sacrifices, reduce the gathering of people, reduce the risk of epidemic spread, and better protect the health and life safety of the people, in accordance with the spirit of relevant documents from superiors, the Municipal Funeral Management Office will Starting from January 21, 2022, related sacrificial activities will be suspended. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:

1. Suspension of sacrificial reception business. The Municipal People's Memorial Hall, the Municipal Labor Road Columbarium, the Municipal Funeral Home Columbarium, and the Municipal Longtai Cemetery have suspended worship reception services. Among them, the Municipal People's Memorial Hall and the Municipal Longtai Cemetery only handle the storage, removal and burial of cremated ashes on the same day; the Municipal Labor Road Columbarium and the Municipal Funeral Home Columbarium only handle the storage and removal of ashes. The above are limited to no more than 5 people from immediate family members. On the basis of strict implementation of epidemic prevention and control work, the city's funeral homes carry out normal operations such as wakes, cremations, and condolences. Among them, no more than 15 people are allowed to attend wakes and condolences, and no more than 25 people are allowed to attend cremations and farewell ceremonies.

2. Strict epidemic prevention and control measures. Persons entering funeral service venues must strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures, wear masks, scan the "venue code" of the Hebei health code, verify the health code, itinerary code and the "three codes" of the new coronavirus vaccine receipt record. Real-name registration and body temperature measurement are required. After an abnormality, keep a safe distance of 1 meter and enter in an orderly manner. People coming to Han from other places to handle business in our office must have a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 48 hours before entering. People coming to Han from medium- and high-risk areas, areas with local epidemics and the cities where they are located are prohibited from entering.

3. Take personal protective measures. People entering funeral service venues should shorten the time as much as possible, take personal protection and reduce gatherings during business operations.

4. Establish a new trend of civilized sacrifices. It is recommended that everyone pay attention to the "Handan Funeral WeChat Official Account" to perform online sacrifices, or to commemorate the deceased and express their grief through off-site sacrifice methods such as home sacrifices and memorial articles.
