How to prevent rats, cockroaches and other pests in the canteen

Strengthening environmental improvement, eliminating weeds, leveling and hardening the ground and eliminating the environmental conditions on which rodents depend are the most important links in rodent control. For household rodent control, preventive measures should be more important than physical control and chemical control. Rat control measures mainly include:

(3) Close all holes in the room that communicate with the outside world. Many pipes (such as air conditioning pipes) and cables leave some holes when they enter the room from the outside, which provides a passage for mice to enter the room. Therefore, these holes should be blocked and smoothed with cement. Manholes in the ceiling should be covered with cover plates.

(4) The clearance between the lower edge of the door and the ground shall not be greater than 6mm. If the gap is large, nail 0.75mm galvanized (stainless steel) iron sheet 30cm below the door. The gap between doors and windows shall not exceed 6mm.

(5) The basement, windows on the first floor and all ventilation holes shall be covered with barbed wire with the mesh of13x13mm.

(6) Rat-proof net should be installed at the joint of kitchen drain and sewer, and urinal sewer should be covered. These measures are the most lasting and effective methods to prevent and control household rodents, and also lay a good foundation for physical and chemical rodent control.

Cockroach control method

1. Environmental prevention and control:

Prevention is the key to prevent cockroaches, and various effective measures should be taken to prevent cockroaches from invading the room from the outside. There are mainly the following ways for cockroaches to invade the room: First, "move in" with food containers, luggage and other items; The second is to sneak into the room from outdoor or nearby houses through doors and windows, cracks in walls, water and electricity pipes and sewers. Therefore, in order to prevent the invasion of cockroaches, putty, cement or other materials should be used to block holes and gaps in walls, floors, doorframes, window sills (frames), pools and stoves, that is, six seams should be sealed, and special attention should be paid to blocking the passages through which pipes such as water pipes, gas pipes and warm pipes pass, that is, blocking three eyes.

2. Physical prevention and control:

In early spring and winter, when changing clothes or bedding, search for cockroaches and their egg sheaths hidden inside. At this time, the temperature is low, the cockroach activity is poor, and it is easy to catch. Captured egg sheaths can be crushed or burned together.

(2) scalding, burning and clearing the oocysts. Combined with hygiene and cleaning, cockroaches on stoves and cabinets should be scalded or burned to death with boiling water. Through repeated operations, the density and harm of cockroaches are effectively reduced.

(3) Trapping and killing method: use a wooden box trap, the size of the wooden box is 14.5× 10.5×5, with 3.5x2.5 holes on both sides, and each box is equipped with a funnel made of cardboard. Put some pasta that cockroaches like to eat, such as fresh bread and steamed bread, in the wooden box as bait. Every night 10 to 4 am the next day, put the wooden box in the place where cockroaches often move, and kill the trapped cockroaches in time. When using wooden box traps, attention should be paid to changing the bait frequently to attract cockroaches.
