After the failure of the Great Revolution, the China Revolution was at a critical juncture. In order to save the revolution, the Party held an emergency meeting in Hankou, Hubei Province on August 7, 1927 (the "August 7" meeting), and put forward a plan to launch the autumn harvest uprising in four provinces of Hunan, Hubei, Guangdong and Jiangxi.

In early September of the same year, Hubei Provincial Committee divided the eastern part of Hubei into three special zones, namely Dayang (Daye, Yangxin and Echeng), Huangqi (Huangmei, Qichun, Qishui and Guangji) and Jute (Huanggang, Macheng and Luotian), and set up special committees in each zone.

On the evening of September 28, the "riot" soldiers were divided into three roads, and some people went to the county seat to widely post revolutionary slogans; Some workers went to the land to destroy railways and electric wires; Some people destroyed telegraph and telephone facilities everywhere ... When the scheduled time came, the earth shook with a loud bang, smoke billowed, the railway track from Tieshan to Lime Kiln was bent and sleepers were cut off; The streets and lanes of Daye City are covered with slogans such as "Riots kill all local tyrants and evil gentry", "Riots carry out rent-resisting and tax-shouldering" and "Riots confiscate the land of large and medium-sized landlords". That night, the whole Daye city was under the control of revolutionary rioters, and the enemy was in extreme panic. The county governor fled overnight.

after the riots, the reactionary Kuomintang government mobilized a large number of troops to impose martial law day and night and arrested the rioters. Ten revolutionaries were arrested and four died. Although the riot did not achieve complete victory, it destroyed the enemy's traffic and communication network and contributed to the autumn harvest uprising.

In December of the same year, the Zhongyang (new) Daye County Committee was established, with the main purpose of "widely mobilizing the masses, setting off a revolutionary storm in rural areas and expanding the influence of the Party". At that time, the masses were afraid to hide revolutionary cadres because of the white terror after the failure of the Great Revolution. Under the tense situation at that time, the Yangda County Committee temporarily withdrew from Daye, and its existence time was only four months.

After the Yangda County Committee was evacuated from Daye, the Party's activities in Yangda area went underground again. In April 1928, the secret party organization was established in Nanshan Head of Daye, and its activity center was in the Jingong Temple in Nanshan Head. It is located at the eastern foot of Nanshan, which is more than 2 kilometers away from the south of Daye. It is the intersection of Daye, Yangxin, Xianning and Echeng. The terrain is dangerous and commanding, and it is easy to defend but difficult to attack. At this time, the revolutionary situation in Daye County is developing continuously, and there are more than 6 people in party member.

in August, 1928, in order to strengthen the leadership of Daye county, the provincial party Committee established the Central Daye County Committee, with Wu Zhimin as its secretary and under the leadership of Hubei Provincial Committee. Since then, the dawn of the revolution has appeared in Daye.
