Event introduction:

1. The 31st Summer Universiade is the third Universiade in mainland China after the 2001 Beijing Universiade and the 2011 Shenzhen Universiade. Hosting the Summer Universiade is also the first time that Western China has hosted a World Comprehensive Games.

2. The venue is Chengdu, China. It was originally scheduled to be held from August 18 to 29, 2021, but was later postponed to June 26 to July 7, 2022.

3. On February 25, 2022, the 2021 Summer Universiade fire handover welcome ceremony was held at the Jinsha Heritage Museum, where the Chinese cultural heritage symbol and the main pattern of the Chengdu city image logo, the Sun Bird, was unveiled.

4. Dong'an Lake Sports Park Small Arena, with a scale of 35,699 square meters, will undertake gymnastics training for the Universiade.

Phoenix Mountain Sports Park, including "one field and one stadium", covers an area of ??about 330 acres, with a total construction area of ??about 446,000 square meters, of which "one field" is a 60,000-seat professional football field , "One Hall" is an 18,000-seat multi-functional gymnasium that will host the Universiade basketball games.
