Contents of national education policy

1, adhere to the priority development of education. Adhere to the fundamental task of education serving socialist modernization and cultivate socialist builders and successors with all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique and beauty.
2. Fully implement quality education. Deepen the comprehensive reform in the field of education, focus on improving the quality of education and cultivating students' innovative spirit. Run preschool education well, develop nine-year compulsory education in a balanced way, improve the lifelong education system and build a learning society.
3. Vigorously promote educational equity. Rational allocation of educational resources, focusing on rural areas, remote areas, poverty-stricken areas and ethnic minority areas, supporting special education, improving the level of financial assistance for students from poor families, and actively promoting equal education for children of migrant workers, so that every child can become a talent. Encourage and guide social forces to set up education.
4. Strengthen the construction of teachers. Provide teachers' professional ethics and professional ability, and enhance their sense of honor and responsibility in teaching and educating people.
The main responsibilities of the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) are:
(a) to formulate the principles, policies and plans for education reform and development, draft relevant laws and regulations and supervise their implementation.
(two) responsible for the overall planning and coordinated management of all kinds of education at all levels, in conjunction with the relevant departments to formulate the standards for the establishment of all kinds of schools at all levels, to guide the education and teaching reform of all kinds of schools at all levels, and to be responsible for the statistics, analysis and release of basic education information.
(three) responsible for promoting the balanced development of compulsory education and promoting education equity, responsible for the macro guidance and coordination of compulsory education, and guiding the work of ordinary high school education, preschool education and special education. Formulate basic requirements and teaching documents for basic education, organize the examination and approval of national curriculum materials for basic education, and fully implement quality education.
(four) to guide the national education supervision, to be responsible for organizing and guiding the supervision, inspection, evaluation and acceptance of secondary and below secondary education and eliminating illiteracy among young people, and to guide the monitoring of the development level and quality of basic education.
(five) to guide the development and reform of employment-oriented vocational education, formulate the professional catalogue of secondary vocational education, teaching guidance documents and teaching evaluation standards, and guide the construction of teaching materials and vocational guidance for secondary vocational education.
(six) to guide the development and reform of higher education, and to undertake the responsibility of deepening the reform of the management system of directly affiliated universities. Formulate the subject catalogue and teaching guidance documents of higher education, review the establishment, renaming, cancellation and adjustment of higher education institutions in conjunction with relevant departments, be responsible for the implementation and coordination of "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project", guide all kinds of higher education and continuing education as a whole, and guide the improvement of higher education evaluation.
