Talking about the importance of developing pharmaceutical services in community pharmacies

With the continuous development of medical technology in China, new drugs are increasing, and pharmacists' knowledge limitations and physiological limitations make irrational drug use happen constantly. Therefore, it is of great significance to strengthen pharmaceutical care in pharmacies. Community pharmacy staff should understand the maintenance and storage methods of drugs, do a good job in classified custody of drugs, classify drugs according to their prices, dosage forms, functions and uses, and pay attention to ventilation, moisture-proof, fire prevention and light protection of drugs.

Abstract: Objective: To explore the importance of developing pharmaceutical services in community pharmacies. Methods: 15 cases of community pharmacies without pharmaceutical service from June 213 to June 214 were taken as the control group, and 15 cases of community pharmacies with pharmaceutical service from July 214 to July 215 were taken as the experimental group. The drug use of the two groups was compared and analyzed. Results: Compared with the control group, there were obvious differences in the accuracy of drug use, unreasonable prescriptions, drug quality problems and drug compliance in the experimental group (P < .5)。 Conclusion: Pharmaceutical care in community wards can effectively reduce irrational drug use, which is worth popularizing.

China's population is rising, and people's awareness of health is also growing, which makes the demand for drugs increase [1]. This paper mainly analyzes the value of pharmaceutical care in community wards, with details as follows:

1. Materials and Methods

1.1 Basic information

15 cases of community pharmacies that did not provide pharmaceutical care from June 213 to June 214 were taken as the control group, and 15 cases of community pharmacies that provided pharmaceutical care from July 214 to July 215 were taken as the experimental group. There is no obvious difference between the two groups in terms of illness, education and age (P> .5)。 Therefore, the two groups of cases are comparable.

1.2 methods

The community pharmacies in the control group did not provide pharmaceutical services. The community pharmacies in the experimental group implemented drug services, specifically:

1.2.1. Do a good job in prescription review

Pharmacists should strictly review the compatibility of drugs when dispensing drugs for patients to prevent unsafe and unreasonable drug use. Pharmacists in community pharmacies should also know about the names, uses, usage methods, dosage and adverse reactions of drugs, so as to avoid drug confusion. When patients ask questions about medication, pharmacists in community pharmacies should ensure accurate answers for patients, so as to increase the safety of patients' medication.

1.2.2 drug consultation

community pharmacies can set up special consultation desks, so that patients can know more about the usage, treatment time, dosage, adverse reactions and storage methods of drugs. If the patient can't correctly understand the adverse reactions of therapeutic drugs, after the patient has a reasonable adverse reaction, the patient will think that the pharmacist is unreasonable and ask the pharmacist to change the medicine, which will lead to medical disputes in serious cases. Relevant personnel at the information desk should patiently explain the possible adverse reactions and precautions of patients, so as to promote the safe use of drugs by patients.

1.2.3 drug management

the quality of drugs in community pharmacies will directly affect the health and life safety of patients, so it is necessary to strengthen the drug safety management in community pharmacies. Community pharmacy staff should understand the maintenance and storage methods of drugs, do a good job in classified custody of drugs, classify drugs according to their prices, dosage forms, functions and uses, and pay attention to ventilation, moisture-proof, fire prevention and light protection of drugs. According to the principle of first-in first-out, ensure that the drugs in community pharmacies are within the effective use period. Regularly check the temperature and humidity of community pharmacies, and also check the quality of drugs. For special drugs, the management of drugs should be strengthened, and special password boxes can be set up for storage. The proportion of community pharmacies was investigated and analyzed by questionnaire, mainly including drug precautions, adverse reactions, pharmacy services, drug consultation, pharmacy services and satisfaction with pharmacy services, and corresponding improvements were made according to the survey results.

1.3 observation indicators

The accuracy of medication, irrational prescriptions, drug quality problems and drug compliance of the two groups were compared and analyzed.

1.4 data processing

The data in this paper are strictly entered into SPSS22. software for statistical processing, and the counting data are used? 2 inspection, measurement data using t test. P< .5 indicates that the difference is statistically significant.

2. Results

Compared with the control group without pharmaceutical care, the experimental group has obvious differences in the accuracy of case medication, unreasonable prescription, drug quality problems and medication compliance (P < .5)。

3. Discussion

With the continuous development of medical technology in China, the number of new drugs is increasing, and pharmacists' unreasonable drug use is constantly occurring due to their knowledge limitations and physiological limitations [2]. Therefore, it is of great significance to strengthen pharmaceutical care in pharmacies. Patients will be under physiological, psychological and economic pressure when receiving drug treatment. If they have adverse reactions or poor results after drug treatment [3], they may put the responsibility on pharmacists. Pharmacists should strengthen their understanding of drug treatment methods and related adverse reactions, maintain a kind attitude and patiently explain to patients the causes of adverse reactions and corresponding treatment measures, so as to maximize patients' understanding of drug treatment and alleviate patients' bad emotions [4, 5].

If patients have negative situations during medication, pharmacists in community pharmacies should give them encouragement and support to increase their confidence in medication, so as to better receive medication. The implementation of pharmaceutical care in community pharmacies can increase pharmacists' understanding of drug treatment methods, precautions and adverse reactions, so as to provide patients with more effective treatment information, thus improving the effect of patients' drug treatment, increasing patients' trust in pharmacists in community pharmacies and better receiving treatment [6]. The results of this study show that there are obvious differences in the accuracy of case medication, unreasonable prescription, drug quality problems and medication compliance between the experimental group and the control group without pharmaceutical care (P < .5)。 To sum up, the application value of pharmaceutical services in community pharmacies is high, which can promote the rational use of drugs, reduce the quality problems of drugs, improve the compliance of patients, and thus improve the service level of community pharmacies, which is worth popularizing.
