Speech: The motherland is in my heart.

Hello everyone! The title of my speech today is: "The Motherland is in My Heart"

You must have seen the beautiful rivers and mountains of the motherland. The surging river, the rolling Yellow River, and the continuous mountain peaks all belong to our great motherland. The mountains and rivers of the motherland are majestic, the rivers of the motherland are graceful, and the mind of the motherland is extremely broad.

China was once extremely weak. The Opium War that started in 1840 could have been successful. However, the Qing government compromised with the invaders and signed three unequal treaties: the Treaty of Nanjing, the Treaty of Tianjin and the Treaty of Beijing. The Old Summer Palace was burned; treasures were stolen; Hong Kong was ceded, and huge "reparations" were handed over. In 1894, the Sino-Japanese War of 1894 broke out, Liugong Island was lost, and the entire Beiyang Navy was wiped out. China was forced to sign the Treaty of Shimonoseki. During the Eight-Nation Allied Forces' war of aggression against China, the "Xinchou Treaty" was signed.

Now, after undergoing the baptism of blood, China has gradually stood up! Zhan Tianyou presided over the construction of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway; the successful development of "two bombs and one satellite"; the successful launch of "Shenzhou 5" and "Shenzhou 6"; the speed of railways; the successful cultivation of hybrid rice; the discovery of Daqing Oil Field; the establishment of nuclear reactors; and the first Artificially synthesized crystalline insulin...all of this has made China a pioneer in world science and technology.

At the same time, the strength of Chinese sports cannot be underestimated. From the breakthrough of "zero" gold medals to today's "return with a full load"; from obscurity to second place in the world. China is launching an attack on the sports hegemony.

The motherland is the pearl of the East, the soaring dragon of Asia, and the rising sun on the distant horizon. The motherland is in your heart, in my heart, and in the hearts of all of us.
