Matters needing attention in using alcohol-based fuel in catering industry

In the early stage of development, alcohol-based liquid fuel was mainly used as civil cooking fuel and heating fuel. However, due to the backward development and immature technology in gas appliance, the progress is relatively slow. As a civil fuel, methanol is safer than liquefied gas, and it is used in catering industry. The national standard of People's Republic of China (PRC), Alcohol-based Liquid Fuel (GB 16663- 1996), was formulated. At present, the application of alcohol-based fuel in catering is generally safe, and there are basically no accidents such as poisoning and explosion. However, there are still a small number of users who are lucky and lack safety awareness, and still cannot standardize safety operation procedures.

In order to strengthen the safety management of alcohol-based liquid fuels and in-use special burners and prevent accidents, these provisions are formulated in accordance with relevant national standards and combined with reality.

First, alcohol-based liquid fuel and special burner must be installed by units that have obtained the "Hazardous Chemicals Production License" and "Hazardous Chemicals Business License" issued by the Municipal Administration of Work Safety. And keep the product production license, product inspection report, product execution certificate and product filing instructions.

Two, the use of alcohol-based liquid fuel and special burner units shall meet the following safety conditions:

(a) The fuel tank, liquid circuit and fuel valve shall be tight, and there shall be no liquid or gas leakage; (two) special burner abnormal situation, should immediately close the valve and timely maintenance; (3) The pipelines and joints of the fuel system shall ensure that there is no liquid or gas leakage under the pressure of 0.3 MPa and 150 degrees Celsius; (four) when refueling, should check the safety of alcohol-based liquid fuel transportation certificate and explosion-proof pump; (5) The kitchen operation room should be well ventilated and ventilated, and exhaust and combustible gas alarm devices should be installed in the gas blocking or confined space; (6) Establish post safety responsibility system and safety operation procedures, and hang them in a conspicuous place in the operation room.

Three, post operators should check the safety of valves, switches and flow control devices every day. Users should organize managers, professionals and operators to check once a month, mainly to check the safety of oil tanks, pipelines, breathing valves, thermostatic pads and gaskets, and make inspection records.

Four, the use of units should prepare emergency plans, formulate corresponding safety precautions, and regularly carry out emergency drills. In case of leakage, cut off the power supply and close the valve in time. The site should be equipped with necessary fire fighting equipment and water sources.

Five, the fuel tank should be installed in a separate space or outdoor installation, outdoor installation measures should be taken to prevent rain and exposure; The volume of the oil tank shall not exceed 0.8 cubic meters.

Six, burner installation should be solid and reliable.

Seven. Rules for Safe Operation and Use of Alcohol-based Fuel (1) Before ignition, turn on the switch of the fuel tank and check whether there is liquid leakage in the switch and pipeline. (2) ignite the ignition match and then turn on the burner switch. (3) The fuel flows into the burner to start ignition, and the fuel inflow should not be too much. (4) After the fuel is ignited, gradually increase the air volume of the air door and adjust the oil valve. Air and fuel should be matched and adjusted to * state before use. (five) according to the need to control the fire at any time, to save fuel. (6) After the ceasefire, turn off the burner and switch the fuel tank where the fuel overflows.

Eight. Precautions for the safe use of alcohol-based fuels (1) The fuel tank should be far away from the fire source and have fire prevention measures.
