What are the long-term goals for 2035?

The goal of the first stage (2020-2035) is to achieve a great leap in China's economic strength and scientific and technological strength and rank among the forefront of innovative countries. The people's rights to equal participation and equal development have been fully guaranteed, a country ruled by law, a government ruled by law and a society ruled by law have been basically established, all aspects of the system have been improved, and the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity has been basically realized.

The degree of social civilization has reached a new height, the country's cultural soft power has been significantly enhanced, and the influence of Chinese culture has been more extensive and in-depth. People's lives have become richer, the proportion of middle-income groups has increased significantly, the gap between urban and rural regional development and the gap between residents' living standards has narrowed significantly, and the equalization of basic public services has basically been realized. The governance pattern of modern society has basically taken shape, and the society is full of vitality, harmony and order. The ecological environment has basically improved, and the goal of a beautiful China has basically been achieved.

Three major events to realize the long-term goal in 2035:

Han Wenxiu, deputy director of the Office of the Central Financial and Economic Committee in charge of daily work, said that it will take 15 years and three five-year plans to basically realize socialist modernization by 2035. The "14th Five-Year Plan" is a "sailing" plan to start a new journey of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way.

The planning proposal focuses on the development of the 14 th Five-Year Plan and looks forward to the long-term goal in 2035. This is conducive to clarifying the direction of progress, rallying social awareness, coordinating and unifying short-,medium-and long-term development goals, and enhancing strategic consistency.

To achieve the long-term goal in 2035, the key is to practice internal strength, base on the basic national conditions in the primary stage of socialism, and concentrate on running China's own affairs. We have a lot of things to do, three of which are particularly important, namely, reform, opening up and innovation.
