Xiapu, Fujian: Sansha Light and Shadow Plank Road

Take the high-speed train from Xiamen and arrive at Xiapu in about 2.5 hours.

We only stayed in Xiapu for one night

On the way to Sansha Town, we saw a large slogan "International Tidal Flat Photography Resort - Xiapu". I remember that as soon as the high-speed train arrived that day, my mobile phone immediately received a welcome text message from the Xiapu County Culture and Tourism Bureau: "Mountain and Sea Painting · Travel and Photograph Xiapu, welcome to Xiapu, the hometown of Chinese kelp, seaweed, and southern sea cucumbers." While developing photography tourism, the local area has not forgotten to promote local products. Almost everyone who comes to Xiapu will buy some. I am no exception. I bought seaweed and kelp. After all, this is a production area, and the quality should be better.

As the car was walking, we finally saw a tidal flat. Of course, this was just a tidal flat next to the highway, and the scenery was incomparable to those at special photography spots.

Since we were not a photography group, our stay in Xiapu was very short and we did not go to many of the best shooting spots. We only went to Dongbi Village, which is the church in Dongbi Village.

Come to the east entrance of the "Sansha Light and Shadow Plank Road" near Dongbi Village. This plank road is 2.3 kilometers long and is built along the coastline from Gutong Village in Sansha Town to Yugongting Village.

The view at the entrance to the plank road is wide. Unfortunately, the tide was high when we went there, so we couldn’t see the spectacular tidal flats. Fortunately, the sea view was also very beautiful.

Looking back at Dongbi Village

The entire village is built on the mountain, and every household faces the sea. If all the houses were painted white with sky blue windows, it would have a bit of an Aegean feel!

The plank road extends along the coastline. On one side are rugged rocks and on the other side is the vast sea. It is extremely comfortable to enjoy the sea breeze!

The Sansha Light and Shadow Plank Road has many viewing platforms, which is a good place to take pictures of the sunset. It has now become an Internet celebrity attraction in Xiapu.

Xiapu's Beiqi Tidal Flat is also very famous. It was once rated as "China's 80 Most Beautiful Places Worth Photographing" by "Digital Photography" magazine, attracting more than 200,000 people to take photos every year. The next two pictures were taken by me when our car passed by the Beiqi Tidal Flat. I originally planned to rent a car and come here the next morning to watch the sunrise, but that morning coincided with high tide, so I had to give up. [Crying]

It is a pity that I did not see the most beautiful tidal flats when I came to Kasumigaura. I could only find a few unsigned photos from the Internet and post them, thanking the photographer! Let’s enjoy the beautiful scenery through other people’s lenses first, and then make a special trip when there is an opportunity in the future.
