Linyi County made full use of the natural landscape of China's 10,000-mu locust tree forest, and invested huge sums of money to develop and construct the provincial forest park of Tan Hongmiao, which contains the famous Tan Hongmiao site and also a famous battlefield site in the early Ming Dynasty. The forest land is dominated by Robinia pseudoacacia, accounting for 80%, and there are also poplar, willow, elm, tung tree, Toona sinensis, mulberry, Eucommia ulmoides, hibiscus and other tree species. There are more than 30 kinds of birds in the forest. The surface vegetation is rich, with more than 70 kinds of wild flowers. There is also a historic site "Wild Goose in the Wind" in the west of the forest area.
