Dujiangyan's fourth grade composition is 1 National Day. My father, mother and I went to Chengdu to celebrate the National Day with my grandpa, grandma and uncle. On the 4th, my family came to visit Dujiangyan, a great water conservancy project in ancient China. Before Dujiangyan was built, Chengdu was often flooded by the Minjiang River, but it was short of water in dry season. So in 256 BC, Li Bing and his son built Dujiangyan with the people, which solved this problem.

Dujiangyan includes three major projects: Baokou, Sha Fei weir and Yuzui. First, we came to Baokou, which is named after its shape like a bottle mouth. Its function is to introduce excess water from Minjiang River into Sichuan Plain, which can not only reduce floods, but also provide people with life and irrigation. Then we came to Sha Fei Weir, which was built to prevent large and small stones from blocking the bottle mouth. Then we walked on and came to the fish mouth, which was called because it was built like a fish mouth. The function of the fish mouth is to divide the water in Minjiang River into two parts, one part flows into Waijiang River and the other part flows into Neijiang River, thus greatly increasing the amount of water flowing into the bottle mouth. Next to the fish mouth is an iron cable bridge across the Minjiang River. Walking on it and looking down at the raging river below really makes people feel a little scary. After crossing the iron chain bridge, we came to the Erwang Temple, which was built by later generations to commemorate Li Bing and his son. The Erwang Temple, built on the mountainside of Lei Yu, is very magnificent. Walking out of the Erwang Temple, we climbed to the top of the mountain along the steps, and we could see the whole picture of Dujiangyan. What a beautiful view!

After visiting Dujiangyan, I think the ancients could build such a great water conservancy project with their own hands without machines, and it has been good for more than two thousand years. How clever the ancients were!

As soon as you enter the gate of the scenic spot, you will see this beautiful scenery. The Minjiang River runs down, and fierce waves rush; The water is very green, and the trees and mountains on both sides are reflected in the water; The mountain soars into the sky. Although it has entered winter, the trees on the mountain are still tall and straight, showing tenacious vitality and witnessing the ups and downs experienced by this water conservancy project. There are pavilions looming in the jungle, as if you were in a fairyland.

After a while, we arrived at the cable bridge. As soon as I got on the bridge, the swaying bridge interrupted my thoughts. At this time, I was frightened. The roaring river under the bridge can't help but make people feel a chill-the bridge seems to fall down at any moment. I quickly crossed the iron chain bridge and ran to the fish mouth. There was already a sea of people here, and everyone rushed to the fence side by side, and we also got together. At this time, I saw that the vast water image of the Minjiang River was enchanted and consciously separated. The water surface was covered with white waves and ripples, which was very beautiful. Later, a tour guide aunt said; "Here is the diversion dike. Among the Minjiang River, the Minjiang River is divided into Neijiang and Neijiang. Waijiang is the mainstream of Minjiang River and Neijiang is irrigation water. " I listened in confusion and gradually became fascinated. Blink of an eye, we came to Sha Fei. On the weir, the clear river is beating against the dam, as if touching, and there is no surge of water at all. However, the tour guide aunt said, "This flying sand weir is a low rolling dam between the water diversion dike and the bottle mouth. When the water level rises, the excessive water flow and sediment in Neijiang are discharged from here to the outer river by using the principle of water swirl, which ensures the safety of the irrigation area. This way, the irrigation canal will not be blocked. " I listened as if I were there. I saw that during the flood season, the rushing river passed through here and the scene of diverting water again was so spectacular. I can't help but admire the wisdom of the ancients, Li Bing's perseverance and the Excellence of scientific and technological engineering at that time. Its majestic gesture shows the ancient civilization of China. After crossing the Sha Fei weir, we saw a narrow gap like a bottle mouth. There used to be a channel system as dense as a spider's web. Ah! Such a magnificent water conservancy project is unique in the world! It has experienced a history of more than 2,000 years and has been playing a huge role, benefiting future generations and showing unprecedented respect for the ancients!

Today, Dujiangyan is still beautiful and spectacular, and the earthquake has not shaken her. After going down the mountain and leaving the city gate, the city is still so prosperous, and new buildings are springing up. In just two years, such earth-shaking changes have taken place, and people are very happy without the trauma caused by the earthquake. This project is like a monument. She and the city eloquently show the world that the Chinese nation has the wisdom and strength to create human miracles.

Early in the morning, we set out from Chengdu, and after a two-hour journey, we arrived at Dujiangyan. When we arrived, it was raining lightly in the sky, and Dujiangyan in the rain had another beautiful scenery. The water on the river is foggy, just like a girl wearing a scarf. As soon as I entered the gate, I walked along the stone road. On both sides of the road stand heroic statues of Dujiangyan in various periods, including Li Bing, Li Erlang and Zhuge Liang. I walked into the showroom, which displayed all kinds of precious historical materials and cultural relics from more than 2000 years ago to the present, and introduced the three magical projects of Dujiangyan: fish mouth, treasure bottle mouth and flying sand weir.

Walking out of the showroom, I heard the rumbling water in the distance, climbed up the pavilion along the steps and saw the "bottle mouth". The "treasure bottle mouth" is inverted trapezoidal, and the stone wall is engraved with a "water gauge" to observe the water level. Li Bing spent eight years leading ordinary people to cut a big hole in the hard rock by burning, pouring water and sledding. It diverts the excess water flowing from the upstream from here, reducing the occurrence of floods. Looking down from the top, it looks like the mouth of a vase, so it is called the "bottle mouth".

Out of the "bottle mouth" and across a bridge, we came to the "flying sand weir". The ancient "flying sand weir" was made of iron cages and pebbles, and now it has been built of concrete. Its main function is to discharge sand and stones washed down from the upstream, and the maximum stone it can discharge can reach about one ton, which plays a role in flood control, sand discharge and disaster reduction. Further on, you will reach the "fish mouth", which is the first of the three major projects. It is triangular, just like a fish's mouth, and it is also an artificial water diversion dike, which divides the surging river into two, four and eight. Standing in front of the "fish mouth", from a distance, the rushing river flows down the river, and after the diversion of the "fish mouth", the water flow becomes stable and slow. Here, the whole Dujiangyan water conservancy project has been visited. The three major projects complement each other and cooperate closely, which not only ensures the water demand of irrigation areas, but also greatly prevents and reduces the threat of floods, and has become a great pioneering work of scientific water control in ancient world history.

Looking at such a spectacular and huge project, it was built by people's hands when science and technology were underdeveloped more than two thousand years ago, which fully demonstrated the wisdom and talent of the ancient people in China. In the afternoon, I reluctantly left Dujiangyan. On the way, I thought: our Chinese nation deserves to be a great nation with splendid cultural heritage!
