Key points for using tower crane?

The key points for the use of tower cranes are very important. Only by understanding the key points can you use them better. The handling of every detail is very critical and safety must be ensured. Zhongda Consulting will explain to you the key points of using tower cranes.

1. The following inspections and test runs should be carried out before tower crane operation:

(1) The track foundation should be straight and without subsidence, and the joint connecting bolts and spikes should not be loose;

(2) All safety devices, transmission devices, indicating instruments, connecting bolts of main parts, wear of wire ropes, power supply cables, etc. must comply with relevant regulations;

(3) Conduct testing and trial operation in accordance with relevant regulations.

2. When there are more than two cranes at the same construction site, the distance between any approaching parts (including hoisted objects) between the two cranes should be kept at least 2m.

3. Before the hook is lifted, the lifting trolley or the traveling trolley reaches the limit device, it should slow down to the stop position and keep a certain distance from the limit device (the hook should not be less than 1m, and the running wheel should not be less than 2m). It is strictly prohibited to use a limit device as a control switch to stop operation.

4. The lifting, turning and walking of the luffing jib crane can be carried out at the same time, and the amplitude should be changed separately. The luffing parts should be inspected after each amplitude change. Amplitude variation with load is allowed, but when the load reaches 90% or more of the rated lifting capacity, amplitude variation is strictly prohibited.

5. When lifting heavy objects, free falling is strictly prohibited. When the heavy object is in place, a slow positioning mechanism can be used or the brake can be used to lower it slowly.

6. When lifting heavy objects for horizontal movement, they should be at least 0.5m higher than the obstacles they cross.

7. Cranes equipped with upper and lower control systems must not be used simultaneously.

8. If you encounter strong winds or gusts of level 6 or above during operation, you should stop the operation immediately, lock the rail clamp, completely loosen the brake of the slewing mechanism, and the boom should be able to rotate with the wind. For light luffing cranes, the boom should be lowered and locked with the tower structure.

9. During operation, when the operator temporarily leaves the control room, he must cut off the power supply and lock the rail clamp.

10. It is strictly forbidden to overcrowd the special elevator for loading the crane, and the rope break protection device must be reliable. When the crane is operating, it is strictly prohibited to operate the elevator. When the elevator is out of service, it should be lowered to the bottom of the tower and should not be suspended in the air for a long time.

11. After the operation is completed, the crane should be parked in the middle of the track, the boom should be turned to the downwind direction, and the slewing brake should be released. The trolley and counterweight should be placed in a non-working state, and the hook should be raised to 2~ away from the top of the boom. 3m away.

12. When stopping, each controller should be returned to the zero position, each switch should be turned off in turn, and the doors and windows of the control room should be closed. After getting off the machine, the rail clamp should be locked to fix the crane to the track, disconnect the main power switch, and open the high-altitude indicator light.

13. For luffing jib and unattached self-elevating tower cranes, placards are not allowed to be hung on the towers.

14. Every month or after continuous heavy rain, a comprehensive inspection of the track foundation should be carried out in a timely manner. The inspection content includes: track gauge deviation, inclination of the rail top surface, elastic subsidence of the track foundation, rail non-straightness and track passing performance, etc. Concrete foundations should be inspected for uneven settlement.

15. The uneven settlement of the concrete foundation shall meet the requirements that the inclination of the foundation surface or the inclination of the top surface of the rail is not greater than 1/1000 (see Section 14-2-4-5 of this chapter). If the uneven settlement exceeds the allowable value, the cause should be identified and measures should be taken to deal with it. The causes of uneven settlement generally include low-lying water collection near the ground and weak foundation. Treatment measures include: if the ground near the foundation is low-lying, the water collection should be drained, the silt should be dug out, and the ground should be raised to ensure smooth drainage; for weak foundations Measures such as filling method, compaction pile method, lime wall, anchor method, etc. should be adopted according to the actual situation.
