Liupanshan Red Army Long March Memorial Hall Composition

The Red Army Long March Qionglai Memorial Hall is located in Gaohe Town, 45km southwest of Qionglai City. The memorial hall consists of two parts: the "Old Soviet Government Site in Shitasi District" and the newly built "Exhibition Hall". Covering an area of ??25 acres. The "former site of the Soviet government in Shitasi District" is the relic of a section of the Fourth Red Army that passed through Qionglai during the Long March in November 1935 and fought and lived in the western mountains of Qionglai to establish local government. Shita Temple was originally built in the 8th year of Qiandao in the Southern Song Dynasty. The existing main hall was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, and the left and right wing rooms and the mountain gate were rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China respectively. It is the place where the Red Army, local armed forces, and local government meet and work. The display is restored according to the replica of the year. The Red Army Stele Pavilion displays 23 stone slogans of the Red Army, with the three words "Red Army Pavilion" inscribed by General Zhang Aiping. The new exhibition hall covers an area of ??5 acres and consists of an exhibition hall, ancillary buildings and a flag-raising square. The building is a mixture of brick and wood in antique style, with white walls and red tiles, nestled among green pines and cypresses. The gate is built with red sandstone, and the seven characters "Red Army Long March Memorial Hall" inscribed by Marshal Xu Xiangqian are engraved on the door wall.
