Where is Cotton Library Castle?
Mianmianku Castle is in Tongchuan, Shaanxi. In a mountain valley at the foot of Yaowang Mountain in Yaozhou, Tongchuan, Shaanxi, there is a place called "Cotton Warehouse". When locals talk about this place, there is a sense of mystery in their tone and expression. This place once shouldered the task of storing cotton, an important national war preparation material, and has certain historical significance and cultural value. In the late 1950s, the relationship between China and the Soviet Union became increasingly tense. In order to cope with possible resource shortages, dozens of cave dwellings were dug in Yaozhou to store cotton.

The Cotton Warehouse was built in 1968 and completed in 1970. It is about 100 meters wide at its widest point. According to the terrain, 46 cave dwellings were built on both sides. The back walls of many cave dwellings are connected by passages to other cave dwellings to facilitate transportation, loading and unloading and ventilation. The entrance of the cave is wide and open, so that trucks can freely enter and exit to transport goods. Walking into the Miankuang Scenic Area, you can immediately feel the atmosphere of that passionate era, with mottled walls, old iron gates, and slogans "Be vigilant and defend the motherland" written on the door.
