What social responsibility?

Social responsibility is everyone's ethical concern and obligation to others in a particular society. Specifically, society is not a collection of countless independent individuals, but a complementary and inseparable whole. Although society is inseparable from individuals, purely independent individuals are nonexistent abstractions. Simply put, no one can live alone and have no communication. Therefore, we must have a sense of responsibility to society and others, not just to live for our own desires, so as to make society better.

1. Cultivating students' sense of social responsibility is the requirement of quality education today.

People's quality includes ideological and moral quality, scientific and cultural quality, physical quality and so on. Ideological and moral quality is the foundation and soul, while social responsibility is the core and key of ideological and moral quality. Both of them are students of key universities, and their scientific and cultural levels are not low, but they have done things beyond ordinary people's imagination. The reason is that they lack the corresponding sense of social responsibility and obligation, and do not have the social responsibility and ideological and moral quality corresponding to their scientific and cultural level.

Look around us, inside and outside the campus, some students become "dirty" as soon as they export, and foul language is flooding the campus; Littering and destroying public property; Turn a blind eye to the placard "Water is the source of life, please save every drop of water" beside the swimming pool. The underwater sound of "Hua La" flows away not only water, but also students' precious sense of responsibility ... Therefore, we should profoundly realize that in the process of education and teaching, besides scientific knowledge and various abilities, we should also attach great importance to the cultivation of students' ideological and moral quality and social responsibility.

2. Cultivating students' sense of social responsibility is the need of success.

Knowledge economy and information age need high-quality talents, and the most critical success factor of talents is social responsibility. The success of many famous scholars, experts, business leaders and model figures tells us that social responsibility is an important factor for success. Nowadays, families regard excellent grades as the first or even the only goal of success, which makes it unnecessary for children to care about others and society, resulting in poor self-care ability, fragile feelings and lack of strong will and perseverance. Imagine, if you lack love and social responsibility for yourself, others, family and society, how can you stand the ups and downs of life? How can we face a highly competitive society?
