Leaning on Penglai and looking at the sea, one water and two heavens.

Outside the Lingkong Pavilion, the middle stream flies across half yellow and blue.

Tens of thousands of hectares of long waves hit our face, the old man fishes in the beams and sings, and the waves rest on the cloud sails.

People who come from far away from Taizhou tell the world about wine.

The person has eight positions, the words have eight rhymes, and the music has eight strings.

Eight teas and eight dishes, eight products and eight delicacies.

Eight bowls, eight dishes and eight guests, eight cups, eight cups and eight drinks, eight hundred and eight thousand.

The eight zodiac signs bring luck to the eight directions, and the eight friends drunken the eight immortals.

①Penglai: Penglai: a place name, refers to Penglai District, Yantai City, Shandong Province, bordering the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea, facing Tianjin, Dalian and other cities and the Korean Peninsula across the sea, known as the world Wonderland, leisure paradise, and home of fine wines, it has won the honorary titles of China's Excellent Tourism City, China's Best Leisure Tourism City, National Environmental Protection Model City, and National Sanitary City.

② One water and two heavens... The middle stream flies across half yellow and blue: Outside Penglai Pavilion, there is the natural intersection and dividing line between the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea, and the color of the sea water is "distinct". The Yellow Sea in the east is dark blue, and the Bohai Sea in the west is slightly yellow. The author calls it "two heavens", referring to the color of the sea water, which is a wonder.

③Lingkong Pavilion: refers to a scene in Penglai called "Xian Pavilion Lingkong". Penglai Pavilion is located at the top of Danya Cliff, with sheer cliffs below it, hanging upside down on the vast expanse of blue waves. When the clouds and mist are lingering, it feels like you are standing high in the sky, as if the palace of the gods are floating in the clouds. It is said that the high pavilion is flying in the sky, a fairyland on earth.

④ Yuliang Gediao: Going west along the beach behind Penglai Pavilion, there are strange reefs and rocks that look like they are jumping up and down, so they are called Yuliang. The water here is deep and the waves are calm. From time to time, old men and women are fishing on it. They catch fish and cook them in the water. They enjoy themselves with wine and sing songs with great joy. It is a tranquil and peaceful mood. This is fishing for Yuliang.

⑤Taizhou: refers to Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province.

⑥The Eight Drunken Immortals: This is the name of the local Penglai wine that was drunk at the banquet that night. It is a pun, which is a metaphor for the eight people present who got drunk in the fun, and laughed more than the Eight Drunken Immortals.

⑦Eight: There are twenty "eights" in the lower part of this work. "Eight" means prosperity, wealth, good luck, reunion, and endless cycle. It is also the meaning of "Tai Chi produces two rituals, and two rituals produce four." The four phases give rise to the Eight Diagrams, and the Eight Trigrams give rise to all things.” Twenty, refers to a sincere heart, looking forward to new hope. The lower palace was conceived in this way, firstly, to convey auspiciousness and beauty, and secondly, for fun, which was intentional.

⑧On July 1, 2022, the author and his party went to a distinguished dinner party in Penglai. There were exactly eight people in the audience. They even drank Penglai's "Drunken Eight Immortals" famous wine. The cup is more than half a pound, and I am very drunk. As a result, the draft of the eight rhymes (referring to the eight rhymes of the upper and lower columns of this word card) that the author improvised on the spot was shelved. Later, because the author drove non-stop to many places in Shandong for several days on business, the draft was completed on the night of July 9th in Sanmen Spring Valley, Taizhou, Zhejiang.
