Ancient street history

Yanglou Cave in the ancient town is known as the "green brick tea town" and the well-known "cave tea town" at home and abroad. According to the records of Pu Yinzhi, a tongzhi edition in Qing Dynasty, Yanglou Cave was built in Ming Dynasty, formed during Daoguang and Xianfeng years in Qing Dynasty, and rebuilt in Qing Dynasty and Republic of China. Yangloudong Ancient Street is located in the west of Songfenggang, and consists of Miaochang Street, Fuxing Street and Guanyin Street.

Miaochang Street and Fuxing Street bend in the direction of Songfenggang. Most commercial shops in the ancient town are concentrated in this street. The scale and style of buildings on both sides of the street are unified and scattered.

The front section of Fuxing Street is the turning point of the whole block. The whole block deflects westward here, and there is a T-junction at each end of the road. The back section of Fuxing Street was partially burned by the Japanese army during the Anti-Japanese War and rebuilt after the war was settled. Buildings built in different periods are now preserved in the street.
