Where is the Red Army Long March Monument in Hongzhai Village?

The Red Army Long March Monument in Hongzhai Village is a classic red tourism scenic spot.

It is located in the north of Tanglang Village, Hongzhai, Dapo Township, Zhanyi County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province.

On April 2, 1936, the Red Army’s Long March entered Zhanyi County from Fuyuan County in three routes. On April 3, the Second Red Army Corps, led by He Long, set out from the station and passed through the mountains, Shagao, Dahai, Xiaoluolang, Daluolang, paddy fields and other places in Bole Township, and stationed in Xixia and Zunhua Pu, Shilipu, Songlin, Hexi and Zhongcun areas. At 11 o'clock in the morning, when the first part of the Second Red Army Corps arrived at the Flame Mountain north of Zunhuapu, they encountered a group of enemies. The Red Army immediately entered the battle, beating the enemy and forcing them to flee toward Songshaoguan. The Red Army distributed the captured items to local farmers before moving on.

On April 5, the troops directly under the legion passed through Tuqiao, Gengde, Dapo, Yangtianchong, Dewei and Tianshengqiao villages in Dapo Township to camp at Yangjie (today's Mala). He Long had room and board in the Tanglang Temple, and went to every village to publicize the party's program and political ideas to the masses, publicize the anti-Japanese and national salvation policy, expose the Kuomintang's crimes, and promote the Red Army as a team of workers and peasants, seeking happiness and liberation for the working people. team. In many villages, they wrote: "Down with the local tyrants and divide the land", "Fight the rich and save the poor", "The Red Army is a team to resist Japan and save the nation", "Establish a government to resist Japan and save the country", "Down with - clothes to wear, down with the local tyrants to eat", "Kill the Yunnan Army" ", crush the Guizhou Army to death, drag down the Central Army to death" and "Brothers of the Yunnan people, rise up to fight against the local tyrants and divide their land" and other revolutionary slogans. At the same time, they organized the masses to carry out the struggle of "fighting against the local tyrants and dividing their wealth". Later, the local people called the temple the "Red Army Temple" and the village name was changed to Hongzhai Village. The desk used by He Long is still preserved.

The monument was named the second batch of municipal-level patriotism education bases in Qujing City in June 2006.
