IV. Strengthen investigation and research

(1) Carry out research on key topics. According to the provincial bureau's research topics and the focus of the city's veteran cadre work, the "Implementation Opinions on the City's Veteran Cadre Department Survey Work in 2014" was formulated and issued, clarifying the guiding ideology, organizational leadership, research requirements, research content and subject division. The main leaders personally led the team to go deep into departments, grassroots levels, and veteran cadres. Through questionnaire surveys, statistical surveys, sampling surveys and other forms, they found out the actual situation and improved the effectiveness and scientificity of the survey. According to statistics, since this year, more than 20 people have been led by bureau leaders to carry out research and guidance work; veteran cadres and bureaus of various county (city, district) committees have also carried out in-depth research work as required.

First, insist on compiling a monthly issue of "Jiaxing Veteran Cadre Work Information" to timely reflect the work dynamics, work highlights and achievements of the city's veteran cadre system. At the same time, we actively submit information to the province, and many pieces of information have been accepted by the province. Conduct special training for information research workers within the system. The second is to conduct special research on retired cadres’ physical health status, hospitalization status, retirement expenses and various allowances and subsidies, funeral care, service management, etc., and continue to expand the research content and projects. We are organizing and compiling the 2014 Jiaxing City Retired Cadres Compilation of basic situations, using quantitative data to directly reflect the changes in the service needs of retired cadres, and comprehensively grasp the dynamic changes of retired cadres.

5. Strengthen the construction of work style

In conjunction with the launch of the second batch of the party’s mass line education and practice activities, our bureau further focused on the construction of work style of cadres.
