According to the spirit of the annual work instructions of the military division and the Municipal Armed Forces Department, the XX annual militia work of our town was carefully arranged and deployed by the town party committee, government, and Ministry of Human Resources and Armed Forces. After a thorough investigation, entry and exit transfer, political review, registration and verification, and in accordance with the organizing principle, the task of organizing 338 basic militiamen was successfully completed. After the reorganization, the township has established 2 basic militia infantry companies with 233 people, 1 town-affiliated militia emergency platoon with 30 people, 1 communications company limited platoon with 25 people, and 1 highway repair team with 50 people. The militiamen formed are ideologically stable, the team is pure, and the structure is reasonable, all of which meet the conditions. The main methods are:

1. Leaders pay attention to it and the organization is effective

At the beginning of the work, the town leaders attached great importance to it and held a special party committee meeting to study the work of the militia group and formulate measures and plans. ;Convene a meeting of militia company cadres to arrange and deploy the work of the entire group. A group notice was issued to all villager companies and relevant units, and the responsibilities were assigned to the people to implement the work. In terms of company headquarters construction, the town has invested heavily in manpower, material and financial resources and intensified its efforts. Each village and militia acted quickly after receiving the notification and assigned dedicated personnel to take charge. This laid a solid foundation for the smooth development of the work and ensuring the quality of the militia team.

2. In-depth publicity work

In the publicity stage, the town’s Armed Forces Department used notices, slogans, banners and other publicity tools to vigorously publicize the Military Service Law, National Defense Law". Each village militia company also used blackboards, slogans, banners, etc. to publicize the work of the militia group, basically making it a household name. According to incomplete statistics, police in the town wrote more than 100 militia slogans and hung 5 banners. Villages with good publicity work include Huayuan Village, Wuyuan Village, Maxi Neighborhood Committee, Tangli Village, etc. In addition, in view of the fact that the professional quality of militia cadres is low and the militiamen lack knowledge, we strengthened their professional training twice and achieved good results.

3. Do a good job in identifying young people of appropriate age and establish and improve various files

In the militia group, each village and platoon can strictly follow the procedures to handle the transfer of people. The team conducted in-depth investigations into thousands of households and ensured that no one or household was missed. We also strictly control the entry and exit of personnel and personnel who do not have a firm political stance, weak ideological concepts, low educational level, do not meet the physical requirements, do not love the cause of national defense and militia, and have no sense of organizational discipline and personnel will not be accepted into the team. Those who have joined the militia will be removed from the militia. Those who have been working abroad for a long time and who often do not participate in organizational activities will not be included in the basic militia. Especially in the entire group of basic militiamen, age control is strictly enforced and those who engage in illegal and disciplinary behavior are resolutely removed. This further ensures the organizational purity and stability of the core militia. The militiamen should be registered one by one, fill in the basic militia registration form and quantitative and qualitative statistics form, and establish files and cards with detailed information.

4. Equip the militia with strong cadres and strive to achieve a sound organization

Throughout the group, we pay attention to improving the quality of the militia. While strictly controlling the entry and exit of the militia, Pay attention to militia cadres as an important link in the work of the entire group. In the adjustment and selection of militia cadres, in view of the large turnover of cadres, timely adjustment of cadres will be made, and try to select demobilized soldiers, party members and personnel with high education, strong ideological and moral values, and organizational command capabilities. Through the whole group, a sound organization and reasonable structure have been achieved. In addition, the Ministry of Armed Forces' own construction has been further strengthened at the same time. The data on each work board has been re-checked and registered, the information is detailed, and various plans and systems have been revised and improved according to the actual situation.

5. Existing problems

With the strong support of leaders at all levels and village committees, the annual militia group work has achieved certain results, but there are still some shortcomings. : First, individual villages and platoons do not pay attention to militia work, their propaganda efforts are not strong, and their work is passive. Second, the forms are not filled out in a standardized manner, the handwriting is scratchy, and there are missing items. Third, there is still a certain gap between the formalization construction of the Ministry of Armed Forces and the requirements of superiors and needs further improvement.
