What is the core literacy of Chinese?

Chinese core literacy includes four qualities:

First, the construction and application of language.

This is the unique and essential content of Chinese subject. Curriculum Standard requires students to construct a language application mechanism, improve their Chinese learning level, and strive to learn to use Chinese correctly, skillfully and effectively.

The second is the development and promotion of thinking.

It is emphasized that students can develop several thinking abilities through the use of learning language, including intuitive thinking, image thinking, logical thinking, dialectical thinking and creative thinking. In addition, there is the improvement of thinking quality, including profundity, agility, flexibility, criticism and originality.

The third is aesthetics and creation.

Chinese New Curriculum Standard requires that correct aesthetic consciousness, healthy aesthetic interest and appreciation interest be formed through aesthetic experience, evaluation and other activities, and in this process, the methods of expressing beauty and creating beauty are gradually mastered.

Fourth, it is cultural inheritance and understanding.

"Curriculum Standard" requires "students to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture and advanced socialist culture, understand and learn from the cultures of different nationalities and regions, broaden their cultural horizons, enhance their cultural self-awareness, enhance Socialism with Chinese characteristics's cultural self-confidence, love the language and writing of the motherland, love Chinese culture and prevent cultural national nihilism."

Chinese teaching has three purposes:

(1) Take ancient and modern classic written works as teaching media. Taking typical ancient and modern written works as teaching media is the principle requirement of educational science and psychological science for Chinese subject. The typical selection of materials is due to the times and political tendencies. Otherwise, the regularity, tendency, advancement and efficiency of education cannot be implemented.

The fundamental purpose is to inspire and develop students' intelligence. Inspiring and developing intelligence is the fundamental purpose of Chinese subject. Psychological research has long proved that philosophy, logic, aesthetics and culturology all admit that "word" is the material premise of human brain thinking activities.

③ The task is to absorb modern written language communication norms and modern China people's humanistic psychology. Chinese education has made the earliest, largest, most critical and most possible contribution to enlightening and developing the intelligence of educational objects by inputting and solidifying "characters" into the human brain and inputting "concepts, procedures and methods of capturing and creating characters".
