On July 22nd, the 9th CEVR Qinghai Lake (International) Electric Vehicle Challenge with the theme of "Enjoy Nature and Lead the Future" officially kicked off. This year, 19 new energy vehicles from home and abroad gathered in Qinghai Lake to show their outstanding performance to the whole world. This race is the highest new energy vehicle race in the world. Along the way, it experienced natural stage conditions such as severe cold, rain and snow, and altitude drop, which severely tested the comprehensive performance of the participating electric vehicles.

This year's challenge will be challenged through performance evaluation, lake evaluation and venue racing. The performance evaluation competition is divided into six parts: control, appearance, technology, wading, battery life and power saving.

The manipulation competition is completed by drivers who hold professional racing licenses issued by China Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, and the appearance and technology competitions are statically evaluated by a jury composed of star ambassadors, judging experts, official media and official drivers.

In the science and technology configuration project challenge, in addition to the evaluation of the automobile system, there will be an automatic parking competition and scoring. In the wading project, the participating vehicles successively carried out a 20 cm pool and a 40 cm pool to challenge the wading limit.

The evaluation competition around the lake is divided into two groups: A car (cruising) and B car (endurance+power saving synchronous test). The vehicle travels along the designated route around the lake, and the whole journey is 553 kilometers under the condition of long-distance endurance/power saving evaluation on the open road.

This year's track competition is still held in Qinghai Sports Center, but the track design and competition rules have changed greatly compared with previous years. This year, all production cars were used, and six professional racers were specially invited to participate. The drivers who participated in the Star Cup also held the driver's license issued by China Automobile and Motorcycle Union, and six manufacturers participated in the competition, which were divided into three groups: Driver's Cup, Star Cup and Manufacturer's Cup.

In the highly competitive drivers' cup, Lu Binglong, a famous off-road vehicle driver from China who participated in the Dakar Rally, drove BYD PLUS? EV won the championship, Rally champion Ruan Lin won the runner-up by driving Guangzhou Automobile Aian LX Plus, and Rally venue champion Deng Xiaowen won the third place by driving Changan Deep Blue SL03 pure electric version.

Olympic champion Xing Aowei came to CEVR for the eighth time. He drives BYD PLUS today? I won the Star Cup. Xing Aowei said, in fact, racing and gymnastics are interlinked in some aspects, so we should have a positive heart and make full preparations before the competition. Gymnastics world champion Kui Yuanyuan won the runner-up by driving the polar fox Alpha S four-wheel drive. Fu, the speed skating champion of the World Universiade, came to CEVR for the first time. Although speed skating is also king, she admits that the speed of the two is completely different. Racing pays more attention to rhythm and retraction, and every foot pays attention to refueling and braking. She has fallen in love with this sport for the first time, and also stressed that new energy vehicles have left a very deep impression on herself. She will consider buying a new energy vehicle in the future.
