The founding day is the founding day of the Chinese Young Pioneers. The Chinese Young Pioneers, formerly known as the China Children’s Team, was established on October 13, 1949, so October 13 became the founding day of the Young Pioneers. In fact, as early as September 1922, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the first preliminary organization of the Chinese Young Pioneers was born in Anyuan.

In 1922, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, road miners united to hold a general strike at Anyuan Coal Mine and achieved final victory. During the strike, the Communist Party of China established the first revolutionary organization for children, the Anyuan Children's League, in the Anyuan mining area on the border of Hunan and Jiangxi.

Soon after the birth of the Anyuan Children's League, the Communist Party of China established working children's leagues in Wuhan, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Tangshan and other cities. The main tasks of the league members are: going to the streets to sell newspapers and raising donations for the revolution; cleaning wounds, changing dressings, feeding, and washing clothes for the wounded; and actively participating in actions such as standing guard, keeping sentries, and posting slogans.

During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the Communist Party of China established the Communist Children’s League (referred to as the Communist Children’s League) in various revolutionary base areas. Its main tasks are to mobilize children to read, read, read, sing, and draw; to actively participate in the local fight against local tyrants and to divide the land; to help the Red Army detect the enemy's situation, pick up bullet casings, and collect military supplies.

Organizational Development

In the new era of socialist construction, the Young Pioneers have made many breakthroughs and creations. With the establishment of the Young Pioneers Congress system and the establishment of the Young Pioneers Working Committee as the main symbols, the Young Pioneers have achieved relative independence under the leadership of the Communist Youth League, and formed a new pattern in which both the league and the education team work together to manage the work of the Young Pioneers. . The theoretical construction and theoretical team of the Young Pioneers have achieved new development. In 1983, the Youth League Central Committee and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences held a national youth scientific research planning meeting. In 1984, the National Youth Working Committee launched the "National Ten Thousand Creation Cup Young Pioneers Activity Competition" and launched large-scale creative activities. At the same time, the cultivation, training, equipment and theoretical construction of the youth worker team have been increasingly strengthened.
