Generally speaking, the national standard stipulates that outdoor charging piles must reach the protection level of IP54, and the construction of outdoor charging piles must strictly abide by the safety acceptance standards for fire prevention and lightning protection of charging piles. Moreover, a leakage protection switch should be designed inside the charging pile. Therefore, it is safe to charge the new energy vehicle charging pile when it rains.

Key points of operation when charging in rainy days:

1. Before charging connection, carefully check whether there is water or foreign matter at the connector interface on the pile side and the vehicle side, and then connect after cleaning or wiping.

2. If it rains, please use an umbrella and other items for protection during the connection.

3. If you find that the charging station is flooded by storm water, please don't approach the charging station rashly to avoid electric shock.

When using outdoor charging equipment, be sure to pay attention to the following requirements:

① When parking, please choose a higher position on the ground to avoid the vehicle battery being soaked by water;
