Our country is a country with uneven distribution of fresh water resources. In daily life, when we turn the tap, water flows out continuously, and we may not feel the water crisis at all. But in fact, some areas of our country are already in a state of severe water shortage, and the water we depend on for survival is becoming increasingly scarce.

Currently, more than 1 billion people in the world do not have access to clean water, and 3.1 million people die every year from diseases caused by drinking unclean water. Water on Earth is constantly cycling and changing.

However, freshwater resources are not inexhaustible, but the most precious and irreplaceable natural resources. Looking at the Earth from space, it appears to be a "water ball." Because 71% of the earth's surface is covered by water, the total water volume is 1.368 billion cubic kilometers (1 cubic kilometer = 1 billion cubic meters).

However, the vast majority is seawater, accounting for approximately 96.5% of the total water volume. The amount of fresh water distributed on land is only about 48 million cubic kilometers, accounting for about 3.5% of the total water volume. Therefore, while the earth's available fresh water resources are in short supply, our country's water consumption is increasing due to economic development and population growth, and so is the amount of sewage discharge.
