2. Classification

Commemorative envelopes are divided according to commemorative content, including maiden voyage commemorative envelopes, travel commemorative envelopes, insurance commemorative envelopes, stamp exhibition commemorative envelopes, etc.

The commemorative envelopes are divided into two types: commemorative stamped envelopes and commemorative stamped envelopes, distinguished by the presence or absence of postage pictures: commemorative stamped envelopes are printed and issued by the postal department. 3. Historical evolution

In our country, the commemorative envelopes printed by many stamp companies, philatelic organizations, and some groups and units are numbered to form their own series. Envelopes are often affixed with relevant or current stamps and have a special commemorative stamp or commemorative postmark. The valid postage affixed on the commemorative envelope cannot be sent if it is stamped with a commemorative stamp. To send it in real time, the postage needs to be paid.
