Jiangning District, located in the southeast of Nanjing, is one of the eight main districts of Nanjing, an important science and education center and innovation base in China, an advanced manufacturing base, a transportation and logistics hub and an airport hub in the eastern part of the country. Jiangning surrounds the main city of Nanjing from the east, west and south, and the transportation systems of aviation, shipping, railway and highway meet, which is an important hub for Nanjing's foreign exchange.

Jiangning District is the land of luxury in the Six Dynasties and the capital of the Ten Dynasties. With Shangyuan County, it is the mother county of Nanjing. Historical evolution of Jiangning

Historically, Jiangning has 40 organizational names above the county level. Jiangning is not only the name of a county, but also the name of a county or government. Jiangning was first used in the second year of Jintaikang (28 1), and has a history of 1728 since 2009. Jiangning's regional setting changes frequently, and its evolution is complex and changeable, or several counties coexist, or Houzhou is in the same column with all counties, or one county is in charge, or two counties are separated into the same city. According to the records of historian Wu Taibo's family, Jiangning was a place in Man Jing before the Zhou Dynasty.

During the Spring and Autumn Period, Jiangning belonged to the State of Wu. In the early Warring States period, it was under the jurisdiction of Yue State.

In the thirty-sixth year (the first 333 years), Zhou Xianwang was under the jurisdiction of Jinling City.

In the thirty-seventh year of Qin Shihuang (2 10 BC), Moling County was established in the abandoned Jinling City, and Danyang and Jiangcheng counties were also established, both of which belonged to Huiji County.

In the first year of Yuan Shuo in the Western Han Dynasty (BC 128), Jiangning was called Jiangdu State, which was divided into Moling, Hushu and Danyang. In the second year of Yuanshou (before 12 1 year), Jiangdu was abandoned and Fuling, Jiangcheng, Hushu and Danyang were restored, all of which belonged to Yanjun. In the second year of Yuanfeng (formerly 109), Yan County was changed to Danyang County. In the first year of Tianfeng (14), Xindong County was Xuanting County, Moling County was Xuanting County, and Jiangcheng County was Wu Xiang County. In the first year of Liu Xuan's restart (23 years), the county resumed its old name. In the seventeenth year of Jian 'an in the late Han Dynasty (2 12), Sun Quan built Shicheng in the former site of Chu Jinling, changed Moling County to Jianye County, and moved from Molingguan to Shicheng. At the same time, Hu Shu and Jiang Cheng were abolished, and Dian Nong was established for governance.
