The main responsibilities of the Provincial Tourism, Culture, Radio, Film and Sports Department are:

Implement the principles, policies, laws and regulations of the Party and the state on tourism, culture, radio, film and television, and sports, as well as the policies and measures of China (Hainan) Pilot Free Trade Zone and China Free Trade Port, and implement the relevant decision-making arrangements of the provincial party committee and government.

To study, formulate and organize the implementation of strategies and policies and measures for the development of tourism, culture, radio and television sports in the whole province, draft laws and regulations in the fields of tourism and culture, radio and television sports, and study and put forward opinions and suggestions on promoting the reform of tourism and culture, radio and television sports.

To guide the investigation, utilization and protection of tourism cultural resources in the whole province. Coordinate the development of tourism, culture, radio and television, sports and industry in the province, and promote the integration of tourism and culture, radio and television and sports.
