What are Alibaba’s audio and video communication charging rules?
The default billing method of Alibaba Cloud RTC service is pay-as-you-go. When you conduct real-time audio and video communication, Alibaba Cloud RTC will charge based on the call duration and different call specifications. This article introduces you to RTC’s billing methods, usage instructions, etc. to help you make better use of audio and video communication services.
Pay-as-you-go billing
For details of RTC’s pay-as-you-go billing, please refer to the audio and video communication pricing instructions.
Audio and video communication duration package (resource package)
It is recommended that you purchase the resource package first. When you use the resources, the corresponding quota will be deducted. For details, please refer to the audio and video communication duration package.
Note that resource package minutes are calculated based on video specifications of 720P and below. Deduction rules for other specifications: 4 minutes of voice calls will be deducted from 1 minute of resource package duration, and 2 minutes of 360P and below videos will be deducted from 1 minute of resource package. Duration, 1 minute of 1080P video is deducted from 3.75 minutes of resource package duration.
Instructions for using the resource package are as follows:
The resource package takes effect immediately after purchase. Please use it within the validity period of the resource package. After expiration, the resource package cannot be used.
Resource packages support stacking purchases, that is, the resource usage within the validity period is superimposed, and multiple resource packages are deducted according to their expiration date.
When the resource package expires or exceeds the usage limit, paid services will automatically be paid on a pay-as-you-go basis. To avoid service unavailability due to arrears, please pay attention to resource package consumption, purchase new resource packages in a timely manner or ensure that your account balance is sufficient.
Resource packages do not support upgrade or downgrade.
The validity period of each resource package is calculated independently, and the validity period of multiple resource packages does not overlap.
The resource package provided by Alibaba Cloud RTC can only be used to offset the usage generated by the RTC service.
The after-sales instructions for the resource pack are as follows:
If the resource pack you purchased has not exceeded 7 days and has not been consumed, you can unsubscribe.
If the resource package you purchased is more than 7 days old or has been consumed, you cannot unsubscribe.
If the resource package you purchased has been consumed or expired, the remaining usage cannot be unsubscribed or refunded.
Bypass retweet billing
Alibaba Cloud RTC provides you with bypass retweet billing items. By default, this billing item is calculated based on the processing time (accumulated processing time on the day). Standard, unit is minute) for billing. When you perform bypass retweets, Alibaba Cloud RTC will perform superimposed billing based on the total duration corresponding to the different retweet specifications you use that day.

Note
When you use the bypass retweet function, you need to carefully check whether the billing configuration items comply with the business scenario. RTC will be charged according to the relevant specifications set in your configuration item (TaskProfile). If you use options that exceed the specifications, the push will fail. For details, see StartMPUTask.
Bypass retweet service API changes: The parameter TaskProfile was changed from optional to required at 23:00 on June 1, 2020. If this parameter is missing, the highest specification 16IN_1080P will be billed by default. .
Daily settlement
Alibaba Cloud RTC service will calculate and settle the previous day's bills at around two o'clock in the morning every day. Please refer to the system for the specific billing time.
How to refund the Alibaba Cloud server?
“Full refund if not satisfied” is one of the service guarantee systems provided by the Alibaba Cloud cloud market platform to users. Users can enjoy this service within the “transaction guarantee period” of the cloud market;
1. Definition of "Transaction Guarantee Period" in the cloud market:
1. For software application products, that is, non-service products (such as "finished websites, application software", etc. that can be purchased and opened immediately Saas delivery products): The user has a transaction guarantee period within 5 days after the order payment is completed. Within 5 days (guarantee period), the user can apply for a full refund without reason. If the user is not satisfied with the full refund application after 5 days, it will no longer be supported;
2. For service products (such as customized website services, operation and maintenance services): After successful purchase of such products, they will enter the service supervision system, and users will review the service results delivered by the service provider in the service supervision system. If all acceptances are not confirmed, that is, the service status is "in progress" and the transaction is within the guarantee period. During the guarantee period, you can apply for a full refund if you are not satisfied. When the user has confirmed all the services delivered by the service provider or has not provided feedback in the final confirmation process, the system automatically confirms the service status as "Completed" as the transaction is completed. If the service warranty period exceeds the service guarantee period, full refund will no longer be supported if not satisfied. payment. Users must operate carefully in each confirmation step. Once confirmed, it means that the user confirms that the service provider's service has been delivered.
3. For mirror products:
For yearly and monthly mirror orders, users can apply for no reason within 5 days (guarantee period) and in the "unused" state. Full refund is not supported if it exceeds 5 days or is in "in use" status. If the user's image is in use within 5 days, the server needs to be stopped or replaced with another operating system. Then apply for a refund (please make a backup before changing the operating system);
Refunds are not supported for pay-as-you-go orders for purchasing images.
4. Refunds are not supported for products delivered through the cloud market’s “tool download and API” delivery methods.

3. Full refund is not supported if the user has any of the following circumstances:

2. During the service process, the user did not provide the service provider with the required information for the project for more than 3 months, resulting in the project being unable to continue to be implemented and passively stopped;
3. During the service process , the user's new needs exceed the service scope promised by the service provider when accepting the order;
4. During the service process, the user has not provided "feedback or confirmation" on the service results of the service provider for more than 3 months ” situation, or the service item has expired due to the user's failure to provide timely feedback/confirmation;
5. The service provider is unable to fulfill its service commitment due to the user's own violation of relevant national laws and regulations; (including but not Limited to the situation where the user has not obtained the website ICP registration permission and the website cannot be online)
