The courier texted that the item was damaged.

First of all, have you received the goods? If not, you should contact the shopkeeper who bought your mobile phone first and explain it to him clearly. Then let him find out.

Because it is very likely that the mobile phone was stolen during transportation, or something else happened, but you didn't sign for it anyway. So don't panic.

If the goods come, you open the package in front of the courier. If there is nothing or something missing in the package, you should refuse to sign it in person and return it to the boss.
