Mac book pro can't send text messages. What happened?

Open iPhone Settings, find Messages, and then click Send and Receive with the iMessage switch on.

In "How to contact you through iMessage", at least check your mobile phone number and the email address used by Apple ID. Generally speaking, the mobile phone number is checked by default, and there is no need to make a choice.

If you want to use the continuous intercommunication function of ordinary SMS on iPad or iPod touch, please repeat the above-mentioned setup process on iPhone on iPad or iPod touch first. If they are different, please click on the Apple ID, select Logout, and then log in to the Apple ID used in iPhone "Send and Receive".

If you want to use the continuous interworking function of ordinary short messages on the Mac, first click the magnifying glass in the upper right corner of the Mac screen, enter "information" in the search box, and then double-click the "information" item in the list.

After opening Messages, click Messages in the upper left corner of the screen, and then continue to click Preferences ... to confirm that the Apple ID matches the Apple ID sent and received on the iPhone. If not, please select logout, and then log in to the Apple ID used by iPhone for sending and receiving. Then confirm that Enable this account is selected. Finally, at least select your mobile phone number and the email address used by Apple ID in "Your information receiving address:".

Finally, go back to your iPhone and enter Settings-Messages-SMS Forwarding. The devices with iMessage turned on and the same Apple ID as this iPhone are listed below. You can choose to turn on the SMS forwarding function of the specified device here. If the setting is successful, a confirmation message will be displayed on the iPhone.

Turning on text forwarding does not require turning on the iPhone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. After completing the above settings, you can enjoy the continuous intercommunication function of ordinary short messages.

How to turn off iMessage

Some people may have the question, "What should I do if I don't want the iMessage information on my iPhone to be transmitted to my other devices at the same time?" .

Solving this problem is simple. For example, if you don't want to receive iMessage messages on the iPad or iPod touch, go to Settings-Messages and turn off the iMessage switch directly.

If you are using a Mac, please uncheck "Enable this account" in preferences ... In Messages, under the Apple ID corresponding to iPhone.

After the above settings are completed, iPad, iPod touch or Mac will no longer receive iMessage information on iPhone.
