School suspension in Shaoxing Yuecheng and Shangyu in 2022. Will Shaoxing suspend classes tomorrow?

On April 4, two positive cases of COVID-19 were discovered in Shangyu District, Shaoxing, and the designated "three districts" were announced on April 5.

We learned from the Shangyu District Education and Sports Bureau that there are 3 kindergartens, 1 primary school, and 1 university involved in the designated area, namely: Cao'e Street Yinqiu Kindergarten, Cao'e Street Xinjianzhuang Kindergarten, Xinxiahu Kindergarten in Songxia Street; Xia Zun Primary School in Songxia Street; Shangyu Campus of Zhejiang Vocational and Technical College of Architecture. After research and decision, schools and kindergartens in the area will be suspended from April 6, and normal classes will resume after the "three zones" are cancelled.

At the same time, based on the announced activity trajectories of the two positive cases, combined with the investigation information and comprehensive research and judgment, corresponding arrangements were made for 53 schools in Shangyu District, and 28 kindergartens, 17 primary schools, Six junior high schools have made arrangements to suspend classes for two days; two vocational high schools have suspended classes until the end of the weekend.

Lihai Street, Yuecheng District

On April 5, one case of positive initial screening was found in Yuecheng District, Shaoxing, and the "three districts" were delineated.

On April 6, we learned from the Education and Sports Bureau of Yuecheng District that all primary and secondary schools within the jurisdiction of Lihai Subdistrict will be suspended for three days from now on. Teachers, students, and parents will actively cooperate with the local communities to carry out nucleic acid testing and health management. Epidemic prevention and control measures and specific class resumption time will be notified later.
