How to set up ASUS router rt-5300

Asus router rt-5300 can be entered into the router’s settings page.

We click the "WAN" option on the left side of the homepage to switch to the "Internet Settings" page.

(1) Supports 5 WAN connection types: dynamic IP, static IP, PPPoE, PPTP, L2TP.

Please select the connection type according to your specific Internet environment.

(2) Dynamic IP setting:

General usage environment: If the upper layer already has a router connected to the Internet, you only need to connect the WAN end of the router on hand to the upper layer LAN through a network cable. Port connection, make sure the Internet DNS setting is checked on "Yes". It should be noted that since the WAN side of the router obtains an internal IP, it will limit the use of DDNS, VPN, and AiCloud on the external network.

(3) Static IP setting:

Please fill in the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS server 1 based on the real IP provided by the ISP. DNS Server 2 these fields, and finally click "Save". As shown below.

(4) PPPoE settings:

Applicable to environments where households are connected via traditional telephone lines. The phone line is still connected to the modem, and the network cable is connected to the WAN port of the router.
