Introduction to the plot of Korean drama Juvenile Court

Netflix's original series "Juvenile Trial" tells the story of a mean judge who hates juvenile offenders who started in the juvenile court after serving in the juvenile criminal collegiate department of the local court. Judges in the Republic of Korea used to be victims of juvenile delinquency. Faced with juvenile incidents with various stories, they thought about what the real role of adults was, and why juvenile incidents were not "others'" problems, but "us's" problems, which conveyed heavy information to juvenile offenders and the world through the process of growth.

The juvenile criminal collegiate bench in the play consists of a juvenile protection case decided by one judge alone and a juvenile criminal case in which three judges participate at the same time. Besides Judge Shen, there are other judges with different beliefs and opinions. Judge Shen (), who is cruel and decisive to juvenile offenders, Judge Che Taizhu (), who thinks that punishment is not the only solution, Judge Jiang (CLARA LEE), a senior judge who handles cases realistically, and Judge Luo Genxi (Li Juyin).

The first meaning of the film title refers to the judgment as a procedure to protect the treatment of minors who are in conflict with the law. Its purpose is to adjust the environment, correct conduct and guide the healthy growth of minors.

The second meaning "trial" is the abbreviation homophonic stalk of Judge Shen, and Judge Shen (abbreviated as Pan in Korean) plays a particularly prominent role with his decisive personal charm. The judge bluntly expressed his dislike for juvenile delinquents and gave them a stern and calm trial.

The main stage of juvenile trial is juvenile court. Unlike ordinary courts, judges in juvenile courts directly interrogate and punish minors. In addition, after the trial, the situation of juveniles is monitored to prevent them from breaking the law again.

The production team wants to portray juvenile delinquency from a balanced perspective, without taking sides, and reorganize the juvenile department of the family court and the juvenile department of the local court, which handle juvenile protection cases, into a fictional juvenile criminal collegiate department. As the screenwriter Jin Minshuo said, "I want to present different opinions, opinions and handling methods through four roles", and in the case, the judges are also tit for tat because of different opinions and beliefs. The play seems to have brought some real worries to the audience.

"Juvenile Trial" tells the story of judges of different faiths, showing a diversified and balanced perspective on juvenile delinquency, and will be released on Netflix on February 25th.
