What is the tct exam? What do you think of the results of tct exam?

What is the TCT exam? In fact, this examination is a gynecological examination project and a method that wise women must choose to prevent cervical cancer-regular cervical TCT examination. We know that when most married women have gynecological examinations, doctors will advise them to have regular tct examinations. What's the result of TCT examination? Let's have a look.

1, what is a TCT check?

TCT is the abbreviation of liquid-based thin-layer cytological examination, and it is the most advanced cytological examination technology for cervical cancer in the world.

The difference between TCT examination and cervical curettage examination

Compared with the traditional pap smear examination of cervical curettage, pap smear examination is often influenced by blood, mucus, inflammation and other factors, which will lead to blurred specimens and inaccurate examination results, while the cell monitoring of cervical TCT examination will not be affected by these factors. TCT examination greatly improves the detection rate of abnormal cervical cells and the satisfaction of specimens, and the accuracy of cervical cancer detection is over 98%. TCT examination can not only screen cervical cancer, but also find some microbial infections, such as trichomonas, virus, mold, chlamydia and so on.

2. Cervical cancer screening

Prevention of cervical cancer, regular TCT examination.

Cervical cancer is still an important killer of women's health. Its incidence ranks second among female malignant tumors, second only to breast cancer. According to the statistical data in 2000, there are about 500,000 new cases of cervical cancer in the world every year, and there are about 1.3 million new cases in China, accounting for about a quarter of the new cases in the world. About 20,000-30,000 people die of cervical cancer every year, and it is on the rise and younger.

The results of TCT examination are not final diagnosis.

Cervical cancer has a "three-step diagnosis", which is cytological examination, female private parts examination and histological examination. Cytological examination is a preliminary examination. If the results of cytological examination are abnormal, it is necessary to have a female private part examination. If there are still abnormalities, we must make a final conclusion through pathological examination. Therefore, it is unscientific to judge that you have cervical cancer only by the abnormal results of TCT.

In addition, TCT has a certain false negative rate. For eligible women over 30 years old, it is suggested to combine human papillomavirus and TCT at the same time to reduce the false negative rate.

3. Interpretation of 3.TCT test results

(1) Normal: It means that no abnormality is found in the scraped cells.

(2) Atypical squamous cell (ASC-US, or atypical squamous cell with unclear meaning): This result indicates that it is uncertain whether these cells are abnormal. There are two options in this case: review after 3-6 months; Or directly check the human papillomavirus. If the human papillomavirus is negative, continue to observe. If it is positive, it is recommended to do a female private part mirror for cervical biopsy.

(3)ASC-H (atypical squamous cells often have high intraepithelial lesions): Although it is not clear, it often has lesions. In this case, it is usually necessary to check and biopsy the female private parts.

(4)LSIL (low-grade squamous intraepithelial neoplasia): It suggests that there are abnormal cells, and further examination and biopsy of female private parts are needed.

(5)HSIL: It is one grade higher than LSIL, which is not a good sign. It is recommended to return to the clinic as soon as possible and do a biopsy of female private parts.

(6) Atypical gland cells: It is usually necessary to further check where this bad gland cell comes from, and ultrasound, hysteroscopy and curettage are needed to further clarify.

(7) Squamous cell carcinoma or adenocarcinoma: If you have this result, please seek medical advice immediately.
