Twinkle Twinkle Stars tells the story of Lin Beixing who accidentally deletes old text messages on his mobile phone and travels back to high school to reconnect with his former schoolmate Zhang Wansen, thus embarking on a wonderful journey through time and space.

In the play, Lin Beixing and Zhang Wansen reunited and separated several times across time and space, and their fateful struggles, as well as their emotional transformation from unfamiliar avoidance to two-way protection, were richly displayed. Lin Beixing unexpectedly unlocked the skills to return to high school. She thought she would be able to get rid of her career and love frustrations at the age of 30, but she discovered that the death of her former classmate Zhang Wansen would always bring her back to reality.

The scene of Zhang Wansen falling from the tower and Lin Beixing's search and rescue appeared repeatedly. Lin Beixing fell into a time and space puzzle where he failed to rescue Zhang Wansen.
