"No rules, no rules." Education since ancient times has advocated training students to follow rules and abide by them. The famous educator Ye Shengtao once said: "What is education? To put it simply, it only needs one sentence, which is to cultivate good habits." The "habits" here refer not only to study habits, but more importantly, behavioral habits. In order to promote our students' behavioral habits to change in a better direction, it is urgent to establish a sense of rules for our students.

However, today’s society emphasizes students’ individuality and innovation, and it seems that only those who do not follow common sense will become successful. But such successful people must be in the minority, and living in a collective, there must be some rules to restrict everyone's behavior. As the saying goes, "the state has national laws, and families have family rules." As middle school students, the country has also formulated the "Code for Middle School Students", which shows that we still need to cultivate awareness of rules.

1. Put the rules in front of you and establish awareness of the rules.

Some teachers do not make any requests to the students before the activity. When they find that something goes wrong, they angrily blame the students. In fact, this is unfair to the students because they do not know what can be done in advance. Do and what not to do. Only when we put the requirements before the activity can students consciously restrain their behavior during the activity.

At the beginning of this semester, I used a theme class meeting to clearly put forward the rules that students should abide by, and listed the class rules. The class rules included violations of the class rules. The subsequent disciplinary measures seemed to have become a small law in the class. Because students are young and have insufficient cognition and life experience, they cannot accurately distinguish between right and wrong in some things. Therefore, teachers have the obligation to tell students what they can and cannot do, and what they should not do. What are the consequences? Post the rules on the wall to remind students.

2. Supervise each other and promote each other.

When class rules are formulated, a supervisor is also needed. Teachers do not stay with students all the time, and some bad behaviors cannot be discovered in time. Therefore, every student needs to supervise every classmate around them. , stop bad behavior in a timely manner and urge them to correct it; do good deeds and praise them in class promptly, so that other students can learn from those who do good deeds. Letting deskmates form pairs to supervise and compete with each other is a very effective method I currently use. Assessment results are announced every week, and students are highly motivated.

3. Only by understanding the rules can we implement them better.

The rules set by teachers cannot be forcefully enforced by students. This will only be counterproductive. Students do not understand the meaning of the rules and are likely to violate the rules due to curiosity. Therefore, after the teacher formulates the rules, he should patiently explain to the students why the rule is formulated. Once the students understand the rules, they will naturally understand the teacher's good intentions. Of course, it is also a very effective method to divide the rules set by the class into several parts and ask students to recite them and then write their own thoughts.

4. Respect students’ opinions and democratize rules.

Rules are formulated for students. In order to make students accept and implement these rules with conviction, we must provide a democratic environment and allow students to participate in the formulation of class rules. In order to make students respect the rules ideologically, students should play an important role in rules education. Through students making their own class rules, as a breakthrough in rules education, they educate themselves in the discussion, screening, determination, and implementation of class rules to achieve consistency. Only in this way can more reasonable rules be formulated.

5. Rewards and punishments should be made clear in a timely manner and rules should be maintained consistently.

The class teacher usually has a lot of things to do. When something happens, he may be too busy to deal with some affairs in the class. But since class rules have been formulated, we must strictly implement them without slacking off, especially at the beginning of the formulation.

Otherwise, over time, the class rules will become useless, and students will have a fluke mentality, thinking that the teacher will not punish them if they violate the class rules. In this way, the students' awareness of the rules will be blurred, which is detrimental to the students' future growth. But at the same time, we must pay attention to the artistry of punishment. Punishment must have certain limits and be combined with reasoning and guidance. Know it with reason, move it with emotion.

6. Pay attention to the hints of language and the influence and internalization of the environment.

On the one hand, psychology tells us that we should not speak ironically to middle school students. Because they have a "reverse psychology". The more things you don't ask them to do, the more they like to try to do it. For example, when students go up and down the stairs, we can tell them, "Go to the right when going up and down the stairs. This will be safer and more convenient." Instead of saying, "Don't go to the left, it will be dangerous to go to the left." This will lead to excessive behavior. If the teacher puts forward the rules positively, it will make the children feel that the teacher respects him and believes in him, which will help increase the awareness of obeying the rules. On the other hand, we cannot use a discussion tone to express things that students are prohibited from doing. When communicating with students, we must let them clearly feel what I should do and what is not allowed, rather than causing mistakes. or vague awareness and judgment.

On the other hand, pedagogy tells us that different environments can induce different behaviors. A good, positive campus environment is one that positively reinforces student behavior. The creation of campus hardware and the role of teachers themselves help students adapt to the environment. First of all, teachers should standardize their behavior and lead by example, so that all students in the school can gradually establish a good sense of rules. Secondly, some slogans and famous quotes are displayed on campus corridors and walls. For example, "Please speak civilized language", "If a young man does not work hard, the old man will be sad." etc., etc., allowing students to unconsciously internalize various rules, thus consciously evolving into a good behavior habit for themselves.

7. Long-term persistence and consolidation of rules

Some students have poor routine habits. An important reason is that the teacher's requirements for students cannot be consistent and persist for a long time. Just when I suddenly remembered, when did I make requests to students, or when I saw problems? Sometimes the requirements were made before the activity, but there was no inspection and evaluation after the activity. The development of students' behavioral habits requires a long process. Only by perseverance can the awareness of rules be consolidated over time.

All in all, the awareness of rules cannot be cultivated overnight, because middle school students have weak self-control abilities, so they need constant reminders and supervision from schools and families to help guide them to gradually form clear, unified, and sustainable development Awareness of rules enables students’ personality and sociality to complement each other. At the same time, the cultivation of rule awareness also requires every educator to be a conscientious person in their daily work, bit by bit, randomly penetrated, and accumulated over time.
