September 24, 1971 was Neil Lafayette's 32nd birthday. His wife was understandably worried when he didn't come home after working in Sensiba Wildlife Sanctuary in Brown County, Wisconsin. She called the police and they began to search for the missing game manager.

It was soon discovered that Neil posted a slogan in the reserve for the last time. The next morning, Rafah's pickup truck was found in a remote swamp area. Nearby, Rafah's headless body was found buried in a shallow grave. His head was finally found nearby, and a.22 caliber gun passed through his forehead, causing two gunshot wounds. The murder left his wife Peggy, a widow and his two children, four-year-old Lonnie and two-year-old Nicole, without their father. Detectives examined anyone who had any motive to kill the young game manager. Because Rafah is famous for being tough on poachers, all the people he arrested in the wildlife refuge will be taken for questioning. Those who have no ironclad alibi are required to take a polygraph, despite the inherent inaccuracy of this test.

This process took more than three months, but one person refused to take the test when asked-21-year-old Brian Hu Song.

Rafah has arrested Hu Song for poaching many times, and the latest pheasant hunting season was as early as that autumn. After receiving a court order allowing them to eavesdrop on Hu Song's phone, he called his grandmother and revealed an interesting message-she told him that his gun was well hidden. This solved the case, and it was also the first time that Wisconsin's new electronic surveillance law was used in a murder trial.

When the police searched her house, Agnes Hu Song immediately handed over the hidden weapons, including a.22 caliber rifle, which was later determined to be the gun that killed Neil Rafah. However, in the trial of Brian Housson, Agnes denied her telephone conversation with the police at home and what happened to her. But it doesn't matter. A ballistics report and the Michigan speech recognition team provided ample evidence.

Brian Housong was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1972. In August, 1981, Hu Song went to prison escape from Fox Lake. As a fugitive, he hid in a remote cabin for three months until he was killed in a gun battle with law enforcement on December 1, 1981.
