1. Climbing Laoshan, you can view the East China Sea from a distance, see strange rocks of different shapes, and explore Mitian Cave.

2. Taiqing Palace: The place where Pu Songling’s Laoshan Taoist story takes place. Here you can see the wall where the Taoist priests walked through the wall in the story.

Today, Laoshan Mountain is divided into seven major scenic spots, namely Liuqing, Taiqing, Qipanshi, Yangkou, Jufeng, Beijiushui and Hualou. Among them, Liuqing-Taiqing-Qibanshi-Yangkou counts as one line and can be completed in one day, so it can also be divided into 4 routes. During my expat assignment in Qingdao for more than half a year, I visited all 7 major scenic spots on the 4th line. I took all the regular ticket buying routes. I thought I had enough say to comment on the pros and cons of them for the enjoyment of tourists. Liuqing-Yangkou, also known as the Southern Line, is the earliest developed and most famous scenic spot in Laoshan. It is close to the coastline and has the famous cultural attraction Taiqing Palace, which is the legendary residence of Laoshan Taoist priests in Liaozhai. It is the route for most people to visit Laoshan and is also the best choice for travel agencies.
