"Gold Coast" Xiamen "Huandao Road"

Introduction

Island Ring Boulevard is the main road around the island city in Xiamen City, Fujian Province, spanning Siming District and Huli District of Xiamen City, with a total length of 43 kilometers. The local road number is County Road 401, which is now mainly divided into two sections: Huandao East Road and Huandao South Road. The section of coast from Xiamen University to Qianpu is about 9 kilometers long. It is called the "golden coastline" and is one of my favorite areas.

Introduction to Huandao Road

Huandao Road is built along the coast and has many scenic spots along the way. It is a must-go place when you come to Xiamen. Walking on the quiet wooden plank road, the beach nearby, the sea water in the distance, and the sea scenery set against the sunrise and sunset make it difficult to walk. You can also rent a bicycle and ride it, letting the sea breeze blow on your face, which is a unique charm.

The road around the island is 31 kilometers long and 44-60 meters wide. The locals also call it the five-color road: blue sea, golden beach, green grass, red runway, and gray road. There are many scenic spots along the way, such as Huli Mountain Fort, "One Country, Two Systems Unify China" placard, Yefeng Village, International Convention and Exhibition Center, Wuyuan Bay, etc. These spots are very beautiful. The section of coast from Xiamen University to the Convention and Exhibition Center is called the "golden coastline".

"Golden Coastline"

On Huandao Road, there are few tourists in the morning or evening, and the temperature is suitable. If you want to rent a car, there are bicycle rental services near the Xiamen University Baicheng Gate, Hulishan Fort, Convention and Exhibition Center, Yefengzhai, and Yueyuepo. There are generally single and double bicycles to choose from. If you are a couple, you might as well choose a couple, which is more romantic. If you live in Zengcuo Village, the inns there usually have rental services.

It doesn’t matter where you start riding. Anywhere can be a starting point. Keep walking along the Ring Road. Cycling is a great way to relieve stress for many people, not to mention the surroundings are beautiful. You can see the sea next to it. You can enjoy the sea breeze and look at the flowers and plants on the roadside. Even if you don’t go to any scenic spots specifically, you will still feel that life is exciting.

: Recommended cycling routes on Huandao Road:

1. Xiamen University Baicheng-Huandao South Road-Huandao East Road-Wuyuanwan Bridge-Wuyuanwan North Beach;

2. Xiamen University Baicheng - Hulishan Fort - Zengcuo Village - Yefengzhai - Convention and Exhibition Center - Guanyinshan Beach - Wuyuan Bay;

The most beautiful section is from Yefengzhai to the Exhibition Center, about 40 minutes by bike. Of course, you can also start from any point in the middle, as long as you are happy. Huli Mountain Fort is the starting point of the boardwalk around the island. The placard "One Country, Two Systems, Unify China" is located on the north side of Huandao Road at the foot of Broadcasting Mountain, and a bronze statue of the marathon runner is located on the lawn of East Huandao Road.
