Regular kn95 mask pictures

KN95 masks are based on the Chinese standard GB 2626-2006 "Respiratory Protective Equipment Self-priming Filtering Anti-Particulate Respirators". The filter elements are divided into KN and KP according to their filtration performance. KN is suitable for filtering non-oily particles. KP type is suitable for filtering oily and non-oily particles.

According to the level of filtration efficiency and the level of filter elements, masks can be divided into six categories: KN90, KN95, KN100, KP90, KP95, and KP100 (full face masks do not include KN90 and KP90). KN95 masks are self-priming filter-type anti-particle respirators with a filtration efficiency of more than 95% for non-oily particles.

In the GB2626 standard, KN95 masks are also called disposable masks. Generally speaking, the mask should be replaced in time if the mask is contaminated, has damaged parts, is soaked in water and becomes wet, or if the breathing resistance is obviously increased during wearing.

Precautions for wearing KN95 masks

1. Wash your hands before wearing the mask, or avoid touching the inner side of the mask with your hands during the process of wearing the mask to reduce the possibility of the mask being contaminated.

2. Distinguish the inside, outside, top and bottom of the mask. The printed side of the KN95 mask is the outside; the end of the metal strip/sponge strip is the top of the mask.

3. Do not squeeze the mask with your hands. The mask can only isolate the virus on the surface of the mask. If you squeeze the mask with your hands, the virus will soak through the mask with the droplets, and you may be infected with the virus.

4. Make sure the mask has a good seal with the face. The simple test method is: after putting on the mask, exhale forcefully so that the air cannot leak from the edge of the mask.
