Can I bring cat food into China when I live abroad?

Cat food is not allowed to be brought into China.

As dog food, cat food, fish food and other pet foods are included in the list of prohibited items, they are not allowed to enter the country. There are only two ways to deal with the seized goods, one is to return them and the other is to destroy them.

According to the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Entry-Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine, passengers who bring controlled articles into the country should go through the relevant inspection and quarantine examination and approval procedures before entering the country, declare to the competent authorities and accept quarantine, and provide relevant supporting documents, otherwise they are not allowed to bring them into the country.
