The Historical Evolution of Binzhou Health School
At the beginning of the founding of New China, the land of the motherland was full of wounds caused by successive years of war. In both urban and rural areas, the phenomenon of lack of medical care and medicine was very common, such as being sick without doctors, having doctors without money, and having money without medical care and medicine, which seriously affected the physical and mental health of the broad masses of the people in the saline-alkali waterlogged land of Lubei Plain. Poverty, hunger and lack of medical care and medicine have become the three major obstacles affecting human health and survival, and it can be said that everything needs to be done.
in p>1958, the whole country set off a new upsurge of socialist construction. in this great historical period, the party and the government were very concerned about the people's lack of medical care and medicine, and tried their best to solve this very prominent practical problem from the source. Under this historical background, it was called "Nurse School Attached to Huimin District People's Hospital", which was the predecessor of Shandong Binzhou Health School. There are 14 faculty members in the school, including 8 teachers and 6 administrators. Under the leadership of Party branch secretary, principal Zhang Yuhua and vice-principal Wang Jianxin, they formally enrolled three classes of nursing professionals with high education level (at that time, the system was that they were promoted to high school after graduating from primary school and to middle school after graduating from high school) on September 1st of that year, with 4 students in each class. Nowadays, everyone knows that running a school must have hardware facilities and software facilities that match the enrollment major, which is the basic condition for running a school. However, the 12 students are teachers and teachers are also leaders in the absence of a school site and dormitory and teaching equipment. They have compiled some teaching materials, and with the care of regional leaders and the strong support of Huimin military sub-districts, they borrowed the auditorium and joint chairs of Huimin military sub-districts for students' accommodation and classes. The principal does the logistics himself, and the teachers, with the spirit of hard work, have overcome countless difficulties such as heat, cold, hunger, humidity and mosquito bites, and continued their teaching and learning under extremely difficult conditions, realizing their beautiful dreams of life. A piece of chalk, a wooden blackboard, a stethoscope and self-made so-called teaching tools were taught. Teachers and students were established by the establishment of the special
school in that era, and borrowing the school site is always not a long-term solution. With the care of the superior leaders such as the prefectural administrative office and the provincial health department, the school expropriated 26 mu of land and built a humble school on the original school site at No.527 Bohai Eighth Road, Binzhou City. Since then, teachers and students have their own home, which has existed for 42 years.
On March 11th, 1959, due to the merger of Zibo and Huimin, the school was renamed as "Nursing School of the First People's Hospital of Zibo". In April of that year, Yang Wenxuan was transferred to the vice president of the school. This year, 8 nursing students with junior high school education were enrolled, and the educational system was three years.
196 was one of the most difficult years for China's economy. Due to financial difficulties, 12 three-year students enrolled in 1958 shortened their internship time and graduated ahead of schedule after studying all the courses. It was not until 1986 that they were reissued with technical secondary school diplomas. Due to three years of natural disasters and international and domestic influences, the national economy was very weak at this moment. However, on July 6 this year, schools and hospitals were set up separately, which was the establishment of Beizhen Health School in Shandong Province. The separation of schools is simply worse for schools. What if there are no classrooms? What if there is no dormitory? Building your own school and going your own way has become the unanimous wish and dream of the people in Beizhen Health School at that time. In the founding stage of the school, there was a lack of funds, personnel and experience. In short, except for the desolate saline-alkali land of dozens of acres and a few broken bungalows standing on the ground, there was nothing but everything. In winter, the snow closes the land and there is no coal to burn. In summer, mosquitoes bite, and when the rainy season comes, the roads are muddy, so teachers and students need to attend classes barefoot. It is in this environment of simple conditions and hard life that teachers and students, with their high fighting spirit, confidence and determination to build socialism, really took an active part in the school construction as masters and wrote a touching movement. Teachers and students unite as one, fighting against the sky and the ground, solving the problem of insufficient workers, and repairing themselves without roads; If there is no well, make it yourself; There is no means of transportation, so put your hands on your shoulders. Extracurricular activities and labor classes, Sunday and evening self-study time are often full of intense labor scenes, and even classes are adjusted according to the needs of school construction, which is very common at that time. At that time, there were only nursing majors in school, and white coats and youthful female songs that shuttled through the school site often echoed on campus, becoming beautiful scenery at that time. What needs to be said in particular is that people at that time often didn't have enough to eat, and students didn't have extra rations at home. The state devoted itself to them, but it couldn't guarantee the students' physical needs, let alone nutrition. To this end, the school called on teachers and students to carry forward the spirit of the Long March, tighten their belts, be self-reliant and overcome difficulties. Students often go to the fields after the autumn harvest to dig sweet potatoes and collect food under the leadership of schools and teachers. Today's students may not think that our nursing students at that time, under the guidance of their teachers, went back and forth hundreds of miles to the isolated island to pick up wild mung beans, wild fruits and other things that could satisfy their hunger as a supplement to their rations. At that time, the health school people were like this. They did not lag behind or fall behind. They just built a secondary professional health school in the saline-alkali and waterlogged depression of Lubei (Shandong Beizhen), which was later rated as the national provincial and ministerial key.
even under such difficult circumstances, in an old teaching place with only about 1, square meters, more than a dozen faculty members tried their best to overcome many difficulties and trained 2 graduates for the country in three years, greatly alleviating the problem of medical treatment for the people in Huimin area due to lack of medical care and medicine.
in p>196, the school strengthened its construction and added the specialty of traditional Chinese medicine. In September of that year, Zibo District was abolished, and Zibo City and Huimin District were resumed, and the school was transferred to Huimin District.
in p>1961, according to the eight-character policy of "adjustment, consolidation, enrichment and improvement" of the national economy implemented by the Health Department of Shandong Province and the spirit of instructions from higher authorities, the school decided to stop enrolling students. In May of that year, Zhao Xingkui was transferred to the vice president of the school.
in August, 1962, it was announced that the school was closed, the second-year students stayed until graduation, and a large number of teaching staff were transferred abroad, so the school fell into the first low tide period. In May of the same year, Zhao Xingkui was appointed secretary of the Party branch of the school.
from p>1963 to 1966, according to chairman Mao's proposal, the CPC central Committee decided to carry out the socialist education movement of "cleaning up accounts, cleaning up warehouses, cleaning up property
and cleaning up work points" in rural areas. In this movement, in 1964, the school resumed enrollment, and the nursing students with junior high school education graduated with the class of 1965 in 1968 because of the influence of the Cultural Revolution. During the two years from 1964 to 1965, the school seized the opportunity to accelerate its development, newly requisitioned 8 mu of land, built more than 1, square meters of classrooms, and the number of teachers soared from 11 to 28, which made the school have full-time teachers in politics, physical education, Chinese, mathematics, physics, medical chemistry, anatomy, physiology, pathology, pathogenic microorganisms, pharmacology and internal medicine. During this period, in January 1964, Mou Guanzhou was transferred to the principal of the school (called the Revolutionary Committee). In 1965, the school set up a new three-year social club to go to the doctor's major, which played a great role in alleviating the current situation of lack of doctors and medicines in rural areas. During the period of January 1964, Mou Guanzhou was appointed secretary of the Party branch of the school.
from p>1966 to 1967, the school closed, so it stopped enrolling students. In February 1967, Zhao Xingkui became the principal of the school (known as the Revolutionary Committee). In September of the same year, Mou Guanzhou was appointed as the principal of the school (called the Revolutionary Committee). The development of the school has entered the second low tide period.
In p>1968, all units of the local health system formed a "626" commune, and the school became a member of this commune. At that time, the students who were recommended by the brigade to go to the community to go to the medical profession were originally required to have a two-year academic system. However, due to various reasons, they graduated early in the winter vacation in 1969 and returned to their hometowns. From 1969 to 1971, several short-term classes and training courses were enrolled, but no students were enrolled. In August 1971, Zhao Xingkui was appointed secretary of the Party branch.
in p>1972, the school resumed. The enrollment method of combining recommendation and examination is implemented to recruit nursing students with two years' schooling. From this, the school is full of vitality again, and it has developed rapidly and entered a new round of development period. In February of the same year, Wang Zhixiu was transferred to the position of deputy secretary of the Party branch of the school and vice president of the Revolutionary Committee.
in p>1973, the school resumed the enrollment of Chinese medicine practitioners and doctors. In March of the same year, Gao Suxin was transferred to the vice president of the school (known as the Revolutionary Committee).
in p>1974, the school enrolled students majoring in nurses and doctors. In the same year, with the approval of the superior, the school set up a teaching point in Huimin Central Hospital and recruited nursing students.
in p>1975, pharmacy was added to the school, and students majoring in traditional Chinese medicine and doctors from social organizations were enrolled. The enrollment of nurses is suspended. In the same year, with the approval of the higher authorities, the school set up teaching points in Zhanhua and Zouping county hospitals and recruited two-year nursing students. In January of the same year, Liu Yuanxiang was transferred to the post of Party branch secretary and vice president of the Revolutionary Committee. In May of the same year, Meng Jingzhou was transferred to the vice president of the school (known as the Revolutionary Committee).
in p>1976, due to the substantial increase in the number of students in school, in addition to continuing to increase the recruitment of students majoring in medical doctors from social organizations, two-year radiation doctors and health doctors were added at the same time, and enrollment of other majors was suspended. As the school has entered a good period of rapid development, the number of teaching staff has also increased to 113, and the conditions for running schools have been continuously improved, with a total construction area of 7,26 square meters.
in p>1977, the state resumed the entrance examination system, and the school continued to recruit three-year majors of Chinese medicine, medicine and pharmacy, while other majors
temporarily stopped enrolling students. In the same year, Huimin, Boxing, Zhanhua and Zouping each enrolled two-year nursing students.
from 1972, when the school stopped enrolling students, to 1977, when the national college entrance examination system was resumed, the school * * * enrolled 71 students majoring in nursing, traditional Chinese medicine and medical doctors. At the same time, the number of teachers has been growing, from 19 to 69. The conditions for running a school have also been continuously improved, and the school area has also increased from 34 mu to 68 mu; For the first time, the school has its own student dormitory of more than 12 square meters; The established library has more than 15, books; The teaching instruments and equipment in ten laboratories have been continuously improved. It has accumulated strength and laid a foundation for the school's rapid development. The school has entered the second period of rapid development and growth.
in p>1978, the professional enrollment of nurses was resumed, and the enrollment of Chinese medicine and pharmacy was retained. The rest of the majors are closed. In March 1978, Chen Decai was transferred to the Party branch secretary and principal of the school, and Yang Baodian was promoted to vice president. After the same year, in the wave of reform and opening-up, all previous school party committees led the teachers and students of the school to emancipate their minds, seize opportunities, start businesses and strive for first-class, so that all the undertakings of the school entered the fast lane of development. By 1986, * * * had enrolled 1,44 students majoring in nurses, Chinese medicine practitioners, pharmacists, healers, radiologists and midwives; Expand land acquisition by 6 mu; 1,5 square meters of new student dormitory; Staff dormitory is 18 square meters; The teaching building covers an area of 4,45 square meters, with 21 classrooms and 16 laboratories, and all school-running conditions have been significantly improved. From 1991 to 1992, the school seized the favorable opportunity of the national education commission and the provincial education commission to evaluate the level of secondary specialized schools in the province, determined the development idea of "ensuring qualified and striving for key points", concentrated its efforts, and built a 5,-square-meter book experimental building with 16 standardized laboratories; The standard sports field of the 3-meter runway was rebuilt; Closed-circuit television has been installed in 12 classrooms, so that different classes can watch TV teaching materials at the same time. By 1997, the school had innovated its thinking in specialty setting, school-running level and enrollment channels, actively adapted to the needs of society, and realized the transformation from single specialty to multiple specialty, adding the specialty of five-sense doctor and maternal and child health, enrolling junior college classes in multi-level school-running, and enrolling planned students, commissioned students, vocational students and rural medical majors on the basis of maintaining the number of national unified enrollment, thus forming a "stable enrollment scale, optimizing training level, improving education quality, and so on" In 1993, the school was awarded "provincial key school" by the provincial government; The school has also been upgraded from the original deputy county-level unit to the positive county-level unit, and its influence has been further expanded, which has enabled the school to enter the third period of rapid development and growth.
in March, 1979, Zhang Zhaojian was transferred to the post of deputy secretary and principal of the general party branch of the school, which was the year with the largest enrollment and major setting since the school was founded. Nurses, Chinese medicine, pharmacy and radiologists are all enrolled. Except for junior high school students majoring in nursing, all of them are high school graduates. The school expanded its land acquisition by more than 6 mu, with a total area of 72.1 mu, and built a new student dormitory building of 1,5 square meters. Huimin teaching point has increased from enrolling one class of nurses to enrolling two classes of nurses.
in may p>198, Zhang xunjia was transferred to the post of secretary of the general party branch of the school, and in October, Zheng Hongzhi was promoted to vice president. There is no change in the school's professional setting compared with the previous year, but the number of students enrolled has been appropriately adjusted. Except for Huimin Teaching School, which continued to enroll students in two classes, Zouping, Zhanhua and Boxing Teaching Schools stopped enrolling students.
in p>1981, * * * enrolled six classes of nurses, Chinese medicine and pharmacy. According to the document requirements of Shandong Provincial Health Department, the professional title evaluation of teachers was carried out for the first time this year. The professional title evaluation broke the academic boundary. According to the working years and achievements, it was divided into three grades: lecturer, teacher and intern. The provincial health department organized the proposition examination in a unified way, and those who scored more than 6 points were qualified and could participate in the promotion. There were 71 teachers who participated in the job title evaluation, 11 were awarded the title of lecturer, 35 were awarded the title of teacher and 25 were awarded the title of trainee teacher. In November of the same year, Zhang Hongyuan was transferred to the post of Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch of the school.
in p>1982, the major of traditional Chinese medicine was dismissed, and enrollment was stopped, and only nurses and pharmacy were recruited.
in p>1983, pharmacy major was dismissed. The school retains the specialty of nurses, newly opens the specialty of midwives, and recruits amateur nurse classes. Since then, the school has always maintained the enrollment of these two majors until 1985. In the same year, a 1,8-square-meter dormitory building was built, which effectively eased the difficulties of staff housing. In 1985, on the basis of regular enrollment, the school began to undertake the training task of cadres and workers in the regional health system, and opened a class for staff and nurses. In the meantime, in December 1984, Wang Zhiping was transferred to the school party secretary, Li Zhengting was transferred to the school principal and deputy secretary, and Zhang Zhaojian was appointed as deputy secretary.
in p>1986, the enrollment of nurses was reduced, the enrollment of midwives was maintained, and the enrollment of doctors was resumed. We continued to organize training for cadres and workers in the regional health system, and held professional cadre classes for in-service physicians.
In April p>1987, Ji Xiaoai was transferred to the position of deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the school, and Li Chunhua was promoted to vice president.
