How did Shenzhen citizens observe the comprehensive maritime emergency drill?
In order to popularize water traffic safety knowledge and improve social awareness of maritime affairs, the "Maritime Open Day" - citizens' observation of the 2017 Shenzhen Maritime Comprehensive Emergency Drill was successfully held in the waters of Dapeng Bay on the morning of June 29 held. As an important part of the annual Shenzhen Maritime Comprehensive Emergency Drill, this event was under the unified organization and dispatch of the Bureau Command Center, hosted by the Bureau Youth League Committee, and carried out specifically by the Yantian Bureau Youth League General Branch.
This "Maritime Open Day" is the first time that our Bureau has opened a large-scale comprehensive maritime emergency drill within its jurisdiction to the public for observation. It is also the first time that our Bureau's "Maritime Open Day" event has accepted registration from the whole society through multiple channels. Participated and created many records such as the widest publicity channels, the largest number of participants, and the most complex personnel structure. To this end, the Youth League Committee of the bureau and the Yantian Maritime Safety Bureau carefully planned the event plan, consulted with the Shenzhen Maritime Public Security Bureau to formulate security measures, and carefully considered all aspects of the event to ensure that the event was foolproof.
On the day of the event, there were about 80 people registered and confirmed through the "Deep Sea Youth" public account and the "Voice of Youth" platform and passed the identity screening and representatives of teachers and students from primary and secondary schools in Yantian District*** Citizens gathered at the Golden Coast Pier at 0800 in the morning. After signing in, verifying their real names, and receiving free breakfast, they took the observation ship "Golden Coast No. 6" and followed the exercise commander ship "Haixun 1468" to observe all subjects of the exercise at close range. .
Before the emergency drill began, the Yantian Maritime Safety Bureau’s provincial-level Youth Civilization Group Striving Group on-site guided the observing citizens step-by-step in trying on life jackets, preached safety precautions for maritime activities, and distributed “safety instructions” and drill-related information, emphasizing the importance of safety. During the exercise, maritime volunteers introduced to the observing citizens the responsibilities and operations of the Shenzhen Maritime Search and Rescue Center, the organizer of the exercise, the units and ships participating in the exercise, and explained the maritime distress alarm and self-rescue and first aid measures at sea as the exercise subjects progressed. They popularized sea, land and air three-dimensional search and rescue, maritime communications, firefighting, cleanup, diving and other maritime knowledge, and patiently answered questions from observing citizens. There were frequent interactions at the event and the atmosphere was very lively.
After the observation activity, maritime volunteers randomly interviewed six observing citizens and asked them their thoughts on the activity in the form of question and answer. Everyone expressed that they would have the opportunity to participate in such an observation activity. Very good. I have witnessed the rare three-dimensional comprehensive emergency drill of sea, land and air. I have experienced the whole process of such efficient search and rescue, firefighting, pollution cleanup and other drills. I have sufficient knowledge for the Shenzhen Maritime Safety Bureau to ensure the safe travel of citizens at sea and the cleanliness of the ocean. We are confident and hope that more citizens will actively participate in similar activities, and we also look forward to participating in the next Maritime Open Day event.
This maritime open day event is a concrete practice of our bureau's "go out, invite in" work philosophy. It aims to demonstrate the work content, work values ??and work culture of maritime affairs to the public, so that citizens can learn more Understand the knowledge of maritime distress rescue, water traffic safety and marine pollution prevention, and establish safety awareness and the concept of protecting the ocean. In the future, our Bureau will consolidate the results achieved, continue to enrich and innovate the activities of Maritime Open Day, spread positive information and good image of maritime affairs, effectively fulfill the social responsibilities of maritime affairs, and create a safe and harmonious water transportation environment to serve local social and economic development.
