What is the welding symbol?

Commonly used welding symbols are shown in the figure below, which are used to explain that the shape and line width of the welding section are110 of the height of the marked characters. If the height of the character is 3.5 mm, the line width of the symbol is 0.35 mm. ..

Basic special numbers are marked on the left: blunt edge height p, groove height h, fillet weld height k, weld residual height h, penetration depth s, root radius r, weld width c and fillet weld diameter d. Basic symbols are marked on the right: weld length l, weld gap e and the same number of welds n. ..

Welding purpose

Welding can achieve the purpose of connection in the following three ways:

1, fusion welding-heating the workpiece to be connected to partially melt it to form a molten pool, and the molten pool will be connected after cooling and solidification. If necessary, fillers can be added to assist. Suitable for pressureless welding of various metals and alloys.

2, pressure welding-welding process must put pressure on the weldment, which belongs to the processing of various metal materials and some metal materials.

3. Brazing —— Using a metal material with a melting point lower than that of the base metal as the brazing filler metal, wetting the base metal with liquid brazing filler metal, filling the joint gap, and mutually diffusing with the base metal to realize the connection of weldments. Suitable for welding of various materials and different metals or heterogeneous materials.
