The barracks are located at the junction of two provinces and three counties, with Taolin Town, Donghai County, Jiangsu Province in the east and northeast, Maling Mountain in the northwest and north, Honghua Township, Tancheng County, Linyi District, Shandong Province, and Xinyi County, Jiangsu Province in the south and southwest. At that time, it was jinan military area command's combat readiness duty force, mainly defending the eastern defense line of Xuzhou, a strategic place, to deal with the Kuomintang troops in Taiwan Province Province who might invade from Lianyungang.

The bugle number is 55387, which was cancelled in 2003. The main reason is that 138 motorized infantry division was changed to Mobu brigade. As a result, the number of the tank regiment was cancelled. At this point, Xinyi Malingshan Tank Regiment died and completed its historical mission.

It is worth mentioning that the Xinyi Tank Regiment has been stationed in Malingshan Military Camp for 20 years. Because Xuhuai area is the hardest hit area of the Cultural Revolution, and the whole country is a civilization of warfare, there are many casualties because of warfare. However, the subordinate units of jinan military area command and Nanjing Military Region are full of contradictions on the issue of supporting the Left, which also brings trouble to solve the problems in Xuhuai area. The Xuhuai area belongs to Jiangsu geographically and jinan military area command militarily. The 46th Army, which just moved to Xuhuai area, was transferred to Weifang, and the Malingshan Tank Regiment in Xinyi, as the 46th Tank Regiment of the Army, was also transferred from the old barracks in Xinyi to Fangzi District in Weifang until the army designation was cancelled in 2003. It is said that Fangzi Military Camp was selected by Jin Jiantang, then head of the camp, and Wu Fengchi, then political commissar.

It has been 50 years since the establishment of 1954 in September and its cancellation in 2003. It can be said that this group exists.
